WOA Barrel to get the bolt or not?

Re: WOA Barrel to get the bolt or not?

I got one with the last barrel I bought. They are cheaper than buying a factory bolt from Brownells at dealer cost. Nice to have an extra bolt to use if needed.

+1

My question is how can you check the headspace?

Re: WOA Barrel to get the bolt or not?

It's said you want to keep bolts and barrels together as a used bolt has the possibility of making the new barrel extension and itself wear faster.

Re: WOA Barrel to get the bolt or not?

When I bought a WOA 16" barrel last spring (didn't ship till late summer), I ordered it with the bolt. It shipped without one, and with a note saying they were out...

Re: WOA Barrel to get the bolt or not?

White Oak Precision would be a barrel that has a hand fit extension to the bolt supplied, White Oak Armament is a mass produced barrel set to specs not individual bolts.

Kinda like you can get two grades of barrels from Rock Creek.....

Re: WOA Barrel to get the bolt or not?

I always get the Bolts. i figure for 50 bucks it can't hurt. I have one of their 6.8 SPC barrels that shoots like a champ and a 18in 1:12 Varmint i ordered yesterday (with bolt). They told me shipping on barrels was only 6-10 weeks. better than the 5 months i waited last time. But they shoot like a house of fire.
