    Mattis and Coats are scum.

    Illusary truth effect.

    Its not about Mattis.

Its about reinforcing the narrative that Trump is unfit and disliked by high level people in government. Its to sow seeds of doubt. The more often you hear it the more you belive it. Leftists eat it up and will try to use it as further proof.

Its nothing more than Psychological warfare aka propoganda.

and the story that everyone at the top of the military chain of command knew they were making no progress in Afghanistan and Iraq was buried by the media. this should have been a top story, but it wasn't.

Something those of us who had already seen the U.S./coalition/NATO campaign in Afghanistan up close already knew has now been publicly (and thankfully) revealed by the Washington Post: the American people were systematically misled by their political and military leaders over nearly 20 years about supposed “progress” in the war in Afghanistan.

The evidence that the lies mouthed by these leaders were, well, lies, has been obvious to anyone with an interest in the nature of war and the making of strategy. This list of lying civil-military leaders is long — encompassing presidents, their cabinet members, and the senior and mid-rank officer corps. At the top of this list, however, loom the senior generals that paraded through Kabul publicly mouthing their rosy assessments because they knew it was what their political masters wanted to hear. Going along with the narrative meant they could climb the chain of command and, in turn, get their tickets punched to the 0.1 percent club upon retirement, with posts on corporate boards and at Harvard and other hallowed halls of industry and the academy.

Making waves by telling the truth? Well, that’s not a ticket to the club.

Afghanistan was lost 15 years ago. Once Karzai was up and running we should have been pulling out, leaving only a few advisors and a threat of a massive air campaign if we had to come back. Looking at you Taliban. Only problem is we know now that the Taliban is waiting for us to rip the bandaid off and go home. Then it will be a bloodbath when they try to regain power. And 20 years wasted and nothing to show for it.

Unfortunately it feeds the war machine which can't be stopped and you certainly don't want to be the one that tries because then secret service is then advising you that its safe to take the top off the limousine because the weather is beautiful .

they didn't even try to "win", they were just feeding the blood of our soldiers to their masters, destroying the homes of millions and forcing the mass migration of sick fucks to white christian nations.

    Just like iraq

Actually we did OK in Iraq. We were already drawing down there after the big surge 2007. If we were able to keep a base like Balad and advisors to watch over the Iraqis, they would have done a lot better when ISIS rolled in. If Obama/Biden had negotiated a SOFA instead of pulling all forces out to keep a campaign pledge then ISIS wouldn't have been as successful in Western Iraq like they did.

Edit: The first few years after we booted Saddam was a huge mess. No argument there.

Back to the Mattis subject - Ever wonder why Mattis' conformation by the Senate went so smooth despite him not being out of the Military for the required amount of time? With little to no resistance by the democrats, that should have been a flaming red flag that Mattis was not on Trump's side from the beginning.

When you give them rope they will hang themselves. You just do not interrupt them while they are doing it. Mattis McMaster Kelly and quite a few others McRaven comes to mind also.
Thank god for Admiral Rodgers for it was he who exposed this massive corruption to Trump. Hard to say how much of the first paragraph were involed in the original plot and how many joined after it started. It is similar to the Valkrie plot history fail to learn the first time repeat it.

I tend to agree. Anybody the Democrats dont rake over the coals and try to destroy is suspect.

    Back to the Mattis subject

Funny enough when he was picked by Trump conservatives and vets lionized him like he is capable of walking on water, he was a walking talking catchphrase altough i find it hard to single out any great feats of whatever that would justify that.

But from what i can tell he is quite a typical career climber including the board positions at GD and Theranos , Generals sitting on corporate boards, spots that are reseved only for most corrupt of the military leaders .

Ike warned of these kind of folks.
