Well, I purchased a POF to use as my deer/hog rifle. More so for hogs. Mounted on ARMS one piece base is a Nightforce NXS 2.5-10x24. I took her to the range today to sight her in. I made sure the adjustable gas thingie was set on the proper setting. N for normal and S for silencer. I shoot first with out the can and sight the scope. I put on the can and the rifle is shooting high right. I sight her in again thinking I suck or I must have touched the turrets. After I go through another mag, I take the can off. Now its shooting low to the left. I figured it out and sure enough the can is effecting the bullet. I zeroed in without and with can. I recorded the moa. Wow, I was surprised. 1.5 MOA high and 2.5 MOA right with the can. Went back and forth several times with 6 clicks down and 10 clicks to the left and it was bulls eye every time.

I think i have heard that cans can alter the bullets path but this sounds kind of high, no? Is my 14.5" barrel effecting anything?

I've seen about the same with bolt rifles. Changing barrel harmonics and how rifle recoils.

As you have noted, pretty consistant so just make sure scope is adjusted properly for N or S operation.
