Thought I would check here first before buying new. Seen several sell like new ones sell for half the cost of new on here in the last few months.

I don't and won't have the funds for a brand new RRS setup, so looking to find something like new on the low end of the cost spectrum. I just don't have the funds to throw at something like that right now, but I do want to get some trigger time in and practive on a tripod this summer.

Anybody out there looking to dump one? Not opposed to other brands either, seems like the BOG deathgrip is for sure the cheapest out there though.

Just to give you my impressions, I’ve used a bunch of different tripod setups....ball heads with saddles, arca rails attached, etc., ranging from the very expensive to pretty low end.
Ive only used while seated in a big banks blind or ground blind, along with kneeling or legs crossed on the ground. But the absolute cheapest stuff out there still does a really good job of firming up your hold. And, the ultra high end is certainly better quality, will last much longer, and is more pleasing to use.....but it’s not a guaranteed point and click with your shot.
I’m sure if I was using a tripod setup for coyotes and was standing up and needed the stability, the differences would be more noticeable.
I guess the reason I chimed in was to say that depending on how you will use it, the $2000 tripod/ball head/ saddle rig may not help you much more than a good shooting stick, a firm rest for your trigger side elbow, and some practice.

I appreciate any and all feedback my friend. I do a fair amount of shooting prone and from rests but would love just the convenience of having one to take along, let the family and GF shoot off of as well. Appreciate the input man!
