He may be separating now....scope listed in optics section. he’s a stand up guy...bought a rifle from him
 
You have to also pay ~$130 in sales tax if you buy locally...here in Texas at least.

That's probably a bit of a wash compared to buying out of state or private party unless it's a really good deal, if you consider:

1. Transfer fees from your FFL
2. Any shipping cost / packing cost / insurance cost the seller wants to charge.
3. Just being able to put it down on your credit card or debit card and be done with it, and have next to no risk at all.
