PS - Really interested in Coyote Comtac VI Defenders if you come across those......NIB will allow me to sync up with @TheHorta while enjoying a frappe at Friendly's.

Has a wire hook up to link with radios.
I think the VI series includes a bluetooth like feature that connects nearby headsets with the NIB technology. You have a boom mic to speak to nearby VI wearers.
As far as my research shows
Defender does not have the wire connection to a carried comms gear.
Than there is a single line comm version (the recent offering).
Than there is a dual line comms version
Would anyone have interested in these at $100/set? Haven't committed to them yet, but wanted to take some temperatures before doing so.
I've never laid hands on a set. Can't give you any first hand information. Based on the response I'm afraid I'll get hung with them. I think I'm passing.
