Just picked this up used and made a few changes while I was waiting on the barreled action. I’m on the fence about it, therefore I’m putting this feeler out.

Cadex field Comp chassis LA, originally grey, hit with one coat of OD green krylon. Modified MPA grip and a gen 1 or gen 2 Law folder (was sitting in my parts bin, can’t remember which gen). One CIP mag included.

Cash value is now 1000$ shipped, but would prefer to trade for a loaded Manners T2A/T6A in Long action.

Would entertain swapping forends with someone from a dual strike, maybe even other chassis/stocks...

Manners L/A so hard to find. Do you know if you can run the non
CIP mags in a Cddex?

You can, you would need a new mag well insert, then pop a couple screws and swap. I’d discount the chassis by the price of the mag well insert in exchange for keeping my CIP magazine.

Hi. Interested in your chasis but have no experience building bolt rifles. Just so I understand, this will accept a Rem 700 pattern long action barreled action? Will it accept AICS style magazines? I know Cadex is good quality, is there anything unique about this model? For instance will it only accept a light contour barrel? Thanks in advance for the info.

Yes it will accept a Rem700 pattern long action.
This model chassis will accept up to m24 profile barrel, there are picture threads with Cadex chassis here on the Hide with a few of them rocking the m24 barrel.
Magazines are the only “tricky part” to building a long action. Essentially you have two options, CIP length (Longer) and standard length mags.
This one is set up for CIP but Cadex sells the standard magazine insert for about $60, if you wanted to go that route I can throw in a couple of standard length magazines, all you’d need is the insert from Cadex.

Talk with Cadex, when I called them they told me I would need to replace the whole bottom metal, not just the magazine insert. Go figure, it didn't make any sense to me. Now, I have the Field Tactical, not the Field Comp, so I don't know if that matters. I also had to mill out the backside of my forend to accommodate the full-length pic rail on my Defiance Deviant Tactical. Doesn't matter, though, it's an incredible chassis and this is a great deal, as well.

The whole bottom metal is literally the insert, see screenshot with PN below.
As far as modifying yours, that does not apply to the field Comp since it doesn’t have the top integral rail like your field tac (how did you even make that work? )

I understand what you're saying, and that is exactly what I would have thought - but it wasn't what I was told when I spoke with them on the phone.

Either way, I hope your sale goes well, if I were in the market I would snatch this up. Don't want to further clutter up your FS thread. Here's how we notched my forend:

Oh nice you’re just not using the top rail that came with the chassis, got ya.
