Any advice on what numbers or regions to put in for on the draw for deer and antelope for a nonresident with no preference points.

Would be great if the seasons overlap and is a good area to hunt.

Thanks.

Re: Wyoming hunting advice?

Those should be some pretty good areas. Read up on all the Game and Fish laws. The game wardens are a tough crowd here. Even worse for out of staters. Get the BLM maps of the area. Come up and do some preseason scouting if you can to at least get familiar with the area. You should be able to stay in Douglas if you aren't going to camp out. It's a big enough town to get most anything you might need. Casper is only about 40 minutes away as well.

Re: Wyoming hunting advice?

This past year we headed out of Rock Springs through the Eden/Farson area up highway 28. I don't know what zone(s) that is but there were several shooter goats (14+) in that area and I believe it's all BLM land? It had just snowed so looked like everyone was getting their trailers back on pavement. They were mostly hunting from quads. We saw a couple of OK deer but going that direction takes you up into the hills which you might need depending on the weather...good luck...

Re: Wyoming hunting advice?

Thanks everybody. I've been reading everything I can. I think I'm going to put in for my full price antelope with #30 first choice then #13 and #7 so that I get a license in the drawing. Then in July buy a regional deer and the reduced price antelope.

Any thoughts on those areas? Deer or antelope?
