I hope this doesnt violate any of the rules here. If it does Ill remove it.

I hate Xmas with all the hustle and BS, and especially that you here the same old music over and over. There IS one I never get tired of though because it says it all in just a few simple words.

You dont have to be wealthy,

    or handsome, or talented.

You dont have to bring an expensive gift

    that will im press others.

All you have to do is Come and bring your best.

    what ever that may be.

    Come.

FYI Maggot, it's Christmas not Xmas. I'm not trying to start anything, just for so many years in 'Corporate' I wasn't allowed to say 'Merry Christmas'. If it wasn't for Him, we wouldn't have Christmas.

You are of course correct. I was just being ornery. I spend way too much time alone.

I took the thread down as Ive seen others here verging on 'Religion' and questiooned myself. Best to stay as far from it 'here' as possible.

Just to add, and for what it's worth I'm only putting up a definition here, not a religious treatise, the "X" has been used to represent Christ for many centuries. It may have been taken/used for consumerismness and other marketing deviants, but here's the link you might find interesting and/or informative.

Thats funny Maze, and I agree that what its become is creepy. Fat little elves in red suits with flying reindeer bringing presents to put under the yule tree, andall that crap. the true meaning has been erased...nearly.

    Reposting.... but it's worth it...

The thing about Christmas that I don't look forward to is something that has never happened yet, but I worry every year that I'm gonna get a call from my kid's school over it. See, we don't do the whole Santa thing. My kids know there's no Santa. I always worry that my boys will ruin it for other kids at their school who believe in him.
