Just wondering if anybody's done it. I have a 338 and a 308 I'd like to be able to use it on, so I was thinking maybe put a QD Flash-Hider mount on each rifle, then use it on whatever I'm shooting.

A little heavy but no problem and it will work fine. Just be sure that the QD mount on the .338 is bored for a .338

Should I have a .308 QD mount on the 308? Or can I just use the 338 QD mount on both of them?
I'm not sure if they even make a .308 bore QD mount to fit the 338 YHM can.

if your talking about the brake effect being affected by the bore being bigger with the 338 adapter , I highly doubt that you will be able to tell the differance in recoil reduction.
If you have say a 338 YHM can then get another 338 adapter for your 308 , it'll work fine , I have a frind that uses his 338 Surefire can on several rifles incluting a 7mm Weatherby and the 338 brake works great

Yeah that's what I was wondering, thanks for the reply. It'll be my first muzzle attachment aside from the stock AR flashhider, so I wasn't sure how effective it would be with an overbore on it.
