Does anyone have exp with this can? I want to get a can for my .338lm but don't think I can afford to shell out twice as much for a AAC. IS the YHM worth messing with or should I just hold off until I get enough loot for a AAC?
I had the chance to shoot one a few weeks ago on a.338 Edge.
Massive recoil reduction and hearing safe, worked good on a .308 also.
Very heavy.
Beefy would be a good way to describe it.
Thanks for the info. I was comparing the diameter/length of the YHM to the AAC and the AAC seems to be a considerable amount larger. I know AAC is tits as far as cans go but I wonder how these two cans compare.
Another option, you might contact Mile High Shooting Accessories, http://www.milehighshooting.com , or Stacey Blankenship, both site sponsors, and ask about an SAS can. He makes a very cost effective can, and Stacey says his .338 can is excellent.
The YHM cans I've shot have worked well, they're just heavy. If that's not a problem for your use, they work just fine.
I just bought a .308 YHM can and think the .338 is gonna have to wait until I have a better job. My .338lm components are so low I can't really justify spending money on a can when I don't have bullets to shoot.
I will refer back to this thread when I get more loot and appreciate the responses.
I have one. I run it on my PGW Timberwolf. This thing is a tank! Cost vs. performance you just cant go wrong. Compared to the AAC Titan it is more then half the cost, QD mount, and half the diameter. The AAC is more quiet to my ears.
