Gunsmithing YHM Muzzle flash hider install

I have 2 of these. The ports look symetrical except it has one large lug in tact. Where is the proper "clock" on the barrel? I did see it pinned in the 6 O'clock position on a high end AR. Another I saw had it at 3 o'clock, that can't be right...

what do you guys think? thanks

Which specific model YHM flash hider are you talking about (5.56 Phantom, 7.62 Phantom, indexible Phantoms, Annihilator)? If you aren't sure...a pic would help here to ID the model.

Some YHM muzzle devices require no timing at all, while others will vary by specific model.
