Suppressors yhm qd brake vs qd flash hider accuracey and poi shift

I won't know until the stupid wait times allows me to know. I went with the muzzle brake though, just for when I didn't have the can on. I am not worried about the flash signature, but my shoulder IS worried about the recoil impulse.

I have both on rifles that see use with a titanium version of the phantom and have no issues with either one. Have not noticed any difference in performance with either style mount when the can is on.

The only side effect I'm running into is too much pressure with my normal loads in my bolt gun. I'm running flash hiders on both automatic and bolt action platforms. The shift was minimal at most on the AR platform and due to pressure issues I'm going to have to figure out a lighter load for the bolt gun while running the can. On a side note I think my new .308 YHM is quieter than my .223/5.56 version. I have run the .308 can down all the way to my M&P .22 and was still pleased with performance.

Igo - How much pressure differences have you seen?? Flat primers? Blown primers? Difficult extraction? Thanks ahead of time for any information.

OP - Sorry for the highjack.

I have had no issues with my HK MR7.62 you do notice a difference but no negative effects but with my Savage 10 BA I have had blown primers on my normal loads. I usually run Lapua or Nosler custom brass, 46.0 of Varget with Sierra 168 BTHP Matchkings leaving the barrel at 2900 fps. I was flat spotting the primers that weren't blowing. Today I had a chance to get some downrange, I loaded up 10 with 44gn and 10 with 43gn. 44's were just about the high end of where I need be suppressed. I had good accuracy with 43 grains and no issues due to pressure. I didn't get a chance to measure my fps but I at least have some info to build on and I feel somewhat better knowing it solved my issue. Overall the suppressor runs awesome.

i used to shoot that 46 grains of varget load it shot very good but was on the ragged edge of pressure. i switched lots of varget and started getting sticky bolt handle syndrome. i went to 44 and it made my brass last much better. i am waiting on my 7.62 ti. i have been running my 5.56 stainless phantom on nothing but flash suppressors but i read a post buy a guy claiming better accuracy and less poi shift when using the brake qd. in my experience the poi shift is different for each qd. the better they lock up the less the poi shift

+1 on what zombie said
