Hi.
Your opinion about March rifle scopes(<span style="font-weight: bold">Tactical model</span>):
- Tactical model 1x-10x 24mm;
- <span style="font-weight: bold">Tactical model March-F 3x-24x 42mm FFP</span>;
- Tactical March-X 8x-80x 56mm?
A question is a purview, quality, <span style="font-weight: bold">reliability</span>?
Thank you for an answer,
Kristian.
P.S.
Opinions interesting, COMPARING of models of tacticalS&B,Hensoldt,USO,NF,Leupold,IOR to Tactical March?

Re: Your opinion about Tactical March?

you should really read the high end tactical part III article. It is in the optics section not too far back.

I read this article - I am interested by PRACTICE and opinion of practical workers with Tactical March.

Re: Your opinion about Tactical March?

They're still pretty new, so you're not going to get a whole lot of responses. Here's a few threads about them:

I haven't used one of the tactical models (can't find one for a test drive), but have looked hard at the reviews on them when I was researching my last scope purchase. I didn't like some of the finicky eyebox comments being made and decided to stick with a S&B. You may develop a different opinion.

Hi.
Thank you very much.
The real answers are not present.
It is fuss...

Re: Your opinion about Tactical March?

I run a 3-24 FFP model and I love it. It's a matter of what you want out of a scope. I wanted a 30mm, fairly lightweight scope, so I was willing to accept some compromise. If you're unlimited in terms of weight and budget, go with S&B, the eye relief is less finicky for sure. However, all I had to do with my March was set up my cheekpiece to the right height and I haven't had an issue. It also depends where you run your magnification at most of the time. When I'm shooting quickly, like in a match, I usually don't run any higher than 10x. With the mag set that low on the March it's just like any other 10X42 scope, but with great glass and my favorite reticle.
In terms of reliability, mine has been spot on without fail for the months that I've had it. I'm impressed at how tough this scope actually is. I'm not exactly gentle with my tools...

Re: Your opinion about Tactical March?

I just returned this weekend from my gunsmith school with Robert Gradous. I had a 10x60 March on my rifle. Both Robert and I were amazed how clear this scope was. At 100 yards we were watching a fly walk around our target. They have six legs. At 600 yards I could easily see the target and shot 3” groups with no problems. First time ever for me. I will be ordering both another March and rifle from Robert shortly. I will be posting some pictures and details of the rifle and the trip shortly. It was an absolutely fantastic time!!

Hi.
Thank you for information.

Re: Your opinion about Tactical March?

I have a new March Tactical 2.5-25x42 that I have not mounted up yet - waiting for my custom rifle to be finsihed. But just playing with it around the house, the glass is VERY nice, the turret clicks are crisp & I love the overall sleekness of the scope compared to my S&B's.

Here's a few pics:

You can do pictures on 2.5x - 5x-10x-15x 25x? Reticle?
Thank you for an answer.

Re: Your opinion about Tactical March?

What about the reticle? The mil based reticle has a dot in the center that subtends 0,1 mil?? Too thick for LR on small targets?

Thanks

Re: Your opinion about Tactical March?

I have just mounted one on a .260 this afternoon. I have used a mlr, mp8 dot and now a fml-1. On 24x the dot can seem large on small targets. For example a chest popper on a 45% ipsc at 300 yards. That being said I have only used this scope for 20 rounds so far. The brightness and clarity are outstanding. My poor eyesight has a new advantage. I also thought the parallax would be hard to use with such a short movement. This wasn't the case. I was looking from bright conditions into the shadows on target and could see detail at that distance very well. I know this was only 300 yards but the angle of the sun and the light conditions at the target were poor. I plan on testing the tracking and clarity out to 800 this weekend.

Re: Your opinion about Tactical March?

I went with the "diplex" reticle - this scope will be mounted on a hunting rifle!!

Re: Your opinion about Tactical March?

Just shot with the 3-24 ml-1 this morning. My range only goes to 800 for now. The brightness and clarity are outstanding. I tested the tracking against my previous numbers for a nf f1 mlr. The come ups were right on or within a .1 mil. That could have been me. The conditions were light at my 5:00 at 0830 this morning. I had a fishtailing wind at 3-5 from 7-5:00. I had made the mistake of painting my targets grey. The scope could see the impacts at 650 and in. At 700 and 800 I was having difficulty seeing the impacts. A side note my leupold 40x spotting scope couldn't see them either. The turret feel is very positive. I like the nf turrets but these feel more defined. I have also noticed the parallax seems much easier to get adjusted well. The reticle is good in design but could be half the dimension it currently is. I think a .05 mil center dot would work great. This could effect its use at 3x but that is somewhere tha I could compromise more than at 20x-24x. That beening said aiming on 2moa or 1moa targets at range is not bad. I am going to shoot a f-class match on the 16th, I'll report back.
