him being an asshole aside, he also has a habit of needlessly dangerous training practices.....and its only a matter of time before he gets someone killed.

quite frankly, banning yeager from spreading his shit is probably BETTER for the gun community.....he makes the gun community look like shit.

once youtube starts to ban ForgottenWeapons or IV8888 then we can talk.

now all youtube needs to do is ban YankeeMarshall and well really be onto something

I have a huge problem with the censorship YouTube has been doing lately, but last I saw that goofball Yeager "was not apologizing" about something or another.:rolleyes: I have no idea what he did, but given his history of acting like an idiot. I would have to say he probably did something to bring his channel into question in the first place. IMO just cause he is pro gun does not mean the is doing our side any favors with his videos.

The war on gun channels has been going on for awhile now. The de-monitization, along with taking down videos that some triggered hipster idiot deems offensive are two examples. Demolition Ranch, and IV8888, are two examples that I know of.

Regardless of how one feels about James “Buck Angel” Yeager, his reckless rants about killing people in relation to 2a disqualify him from being the poster child to rail against Youtube censorship. Check out Frank’s signature line - there is a lesson in there.


As an aside - Youtube is a Private Business. Just as I support privately held bakeries to tell the LBGTs to get the fuck out of their shop / I support Frank’s right to tell each of us to piss up a rope any time he feels like it / I also support Youtube’s right to pick and choose content. It ain’t public, and if that is a problem - folks should set their own on the line.

Youtube has the right to ban anyone they want. Also with account strikes against some really good guys like IV8888, Hikok45 and others too.
I believe it's our duty to stand up for our fellow youtube brothers.
The original post was against YouTube's unreasonable censorship/politically motivated attacks on free speach, not pro Yeager.

That's all I will say on this, everyone is an adult here and can make their own choices.

We gun enthusiasts are some of the most naive, short sighted motherfuckers around. You think liberal scum make a distinction between bump stocks and hi cap magazines? Fuck no. just because hes a "gun channel" doesnt mean hes good for the gun community......he has called for the murder of public officials, has had his license revoked, been banned from ranges for unsafe behavior, preaches unsafe firearms practices like placing photographers and students down range next to targets, and his staff has shot a students car.

this guy is a joke and a skidmark of the actual firearms community......hes the type of guy who would have run a karate studio in a mall in the 70s.

Oh, I almost forgot. It's time the FCC start regulating these leftist social media companies like utilities. I am speaking about Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc. They are universally anti Conservative and actively censor our point of view. Being private companies makes no fucking difference. Can AT&T, a private company, refuse me service for my conservative views? How about Comcast, another private company, can they refuse to provide me service unless I support gay marriage? Of course not. Can Centurylink, another private company, cancel my internet service because I tell liberals to fuck off on a regular basis? No, no one would tolerate that. Yet we let these social media companies, including Google, control social discourse to their liking. And it's 100% skewed towards liberals.

I highly recommend that if you have a YouTube channel, you refrain from posting anymore gun related material on it. There is currently a new algorithm in beta right now that is going to target "questionable" material on channels. It all started off with the monetization thing with certain channels being labeled as "advertiser unfriendly". However, once this new algorithm kicks in, it doesn't matter if your channel is monetized or not, it WILL be shut down if you have questionable material on it. Simply put, if your material makes a Liberal SJW cry at night, it will be taken down.

I took a quick look into what happened that caused him to get his account terminated, here's what I came up with...

Google claimed they neutral in the matter, but were being ambushed with complaints about Yeager getting all revved up, and said their vehicle of Youtube was down and no longer operable for him to use. They responded to him by popping smoke and ditching Yeager, citing their SOPs in a vague and dubiously written after action of the incident.

Youtube is part of google, boycott them if you like but it is not censorship. Only the government can conduct censorship. A private company may publish what they wish and it is not censorship.

All I needed to know. Never become a training video of how not to handle an ambush. He was the driver of the lead vehicle, instead of driving off he didn't remember he placed the car in neutral because his leg was getting tired holding down the clutch, so he thought his vehicle was down and ran for the ditch instead.

Until Youtube becomes a part of congress, they can write whatever policies the want with regard to the content they host.

This is not a free speech issue, although some seem to think that it is. Youtube is a private company. It is private property, just like my front lawn. If my neighbor wants to post a "Hillary 2020" sign in his front lawn, more power to him. But, if he wants to put it in my lawn, he needs my permission. And, if I give him permission but then think better of it, because it is my lawn I have the right; to remove the sign, to tell him not to post any additional signs, and to enforce the rules I have created for posting of signs on my property.

Will we see additional bans of gun channels on Youtube, ultimately leading to the elimination of gun channels on the site? It well could happen, and so long as YouTube sees it as in their best financial interest to do so, this will continue to happen. Will banning of the gun channels be good for business? Time will tell, but YouTube seems to think so. There are other video hosting sites available, YouTube just happens to be the biggest gorilla in the room right now.

Yeager was banned because he is a vile dipshit, and associating with him tarnishes the image of the rest of the gun community. Good riddance.

I don't disagree with you in principle but youtube is a private business. If they don't want to host a certain content they are free to do so according to the constitution and common law.

The only thing you can do to influence them is to make them lose money. Nothing else has leverage.

Pissing to windward (which is what all this internet complaining is) doesn't do shit except get piss all over the complainers.

If youtube bans all the gun channels what does that do to their business?

It creates competition because someone will build infrastructure to support that content.

I bet a channel like Hickock45 is a money maker for Youtube. Just a guy in his back yard firing cool guns. I bet its good click bait and may even help us as some non gun person sees it and thinks hey that's cool.

If Youtube decides to become MSNBC Ill be fine going to what fills the void it created by excising a part of its content.

Every single YouTube video for my channel that I’ve uploaded from roughly 6 months ago have been demonitized about 3 days after I upload them. Even videos not even based on rifles and was based on my battle with cancer was demonitized due to some strange reason. I’ll even delete the videos they demonitized and add about ten seconds of music to the end and change the thumbnail (same damn video), set them to unlisted rather than public for 3 days, then change the video to public and for some reason their autobot computer doesn’t catch it and they let the video slide as being monitized (if the creator isn’t getting paid then they have no incentive to put up more videos and they give up). I think they censoring guys like me, but they are a private business and can do what ever the hell they want.... but then again, a Christian owned family cake business decides to NOT bake some cakes for a couple of gay men getting married and it goes to the Supreme Court as hell freezing over. Figure that. If YouTube continues to jack me over for my hard work I’ll most likely go to a different website that doesn’t get butt hurt so bad...

Now since about a month ago the only way YouTube will review a demonitized video is if it can generate 1,000 views in a week = big time players like hickok45 don’t get hurt, but your average joe like myself get hosed.... which is fine like I said before but I’ll just end up going to a pro 2nd amendment platform that isn’t full of snowflakes running the biz
