ZCO Turret Removal

Looking to remove my ZCO turret to add tape so temporary marks can be made for quick adjustment on the clock. Is there a trick to removing the turret? I’ve removed the screws and tried to pull off with no luck.

Any advice/suggestions would be appreciated.

Does it spin freely with the screws loosened?

I’ve unlocked prior to removing the screws and it does spin freely.

The turret is not designed to be removed from the scope. If you want to put tape on it, you'll have to do it while the turret is still on the scope.
