I bought a Zeiss Diavari Z 3-12x56 about 20 years ago.
Geezer boy here recently dropped it while installing on the new toy, Remington 700 R-5 Gen2.
The rubber lens covers were on the scope. Hit the concrete floor on the rear focusing ring.
Jammed the ring into the scope body so that it would not turn.
Tried many things to move it, but it was stuck, and I am very proud that I did not revert to the Vise Grips….
Anyway, sent it to Zeiss in Germany, $70 postage & insurance.
Expected a $$$ quote for repairs or a “we can’t fix it, dummkopf” response.
Received the scope today via Fedex. Repaired. No charge.
Going to the range next week to sight it in, very nice surprise “present” from the folks @ Zeiss!
