Dear Zeiss,

can you please make a 50 power rifle scope with a 72mm objective, and ultra-fine clicks, and a target reticle with a foating 1/16 dot. Pretty please!

Everyone is now going to tell me to forget about it and buy the S&B or the March. I tried the S&B and looked through the March and still feel there is room for improvement.

Re: Zeiss please

I want this scope for F-class comps.

The S&B I had for a short moment was nice except for the reticle. Their best target reticle is a fine cross hair with a 1/8 dot. I believe The 1/8 dot is too large when shooting 1000 yards for group. I compared the S&B on 24 power, to my Victory Diavari and noticed that the Zeiss was clearer.

March does offer nice target reticles but no foating dot which I love to use. The clarity was nice but still did not seem better than my Zeiss. The exit pupil was tough to work with and not having a lifetime warenty does bother me a bit.

Re: Zeiss please

Just an FYI but I beleive nightforces first scopes were benchrest scopes. I doubt you will ever see a hensoldt product like that much less a zeiss product that is remotely close to that

Re: Zeiss please

I think it would be the other way around. Zeiss optics offers the sporting optics while Hendsolt offers the militarized versions.

I'm simply stating what I would like to see in my version of an awesome BR scope.

To say these type of scopes is retarded is pretty much saying that you have no idea what the fuck you are taking about. Yes you JRose, and you MAGUA.

I like hitting steel and practicing practical shooting as much as the next guy but there are other aspects to long range shooting. I find it rather enjoyable to see how many shots I can place in a 5 inch x ring at a 1000 yards. And a 10 power mildot scope isn't going to help me do that.

I'm not the only person who enjoys this type of shooting either. Whether or not Zeiss feels its lucrative to start producing BR scopes is up to them, but if they did that would be great.

P-dogs on the moon?

Seriously, that would be one hell of a scope. Probably a lot of R&D for a niche market. I can see some of them selling, however.

Re: Zeiss please

Someone sure is e-touchy...

That scope is a turd, deal with it. Sorry, but I don't shoot from a sled, find a BR forum.

Buy a spotting scope, don't try to mount a spotter on your rifle.

Hmmmmmm So all BR type scopes are turds? And it’s called a rest not a sled. I don't need to find a BR forum. I can post a scope topic in a scope thread. Deal with that! If you don't care for this type of shooting then simply keep your comments to yourself. Stop trying to entertain with your dumb ass point of view. I get it, you only shoot big targets with federal gold medal match and a 10 power scope. Good for you. And the purpose of a high mag scope is not for spotting. Its so I can squeeze the trigger while holding on an exact point on a target. Not a guess, an exact point. Now let me get back to the topic.

My Zeiss has a standard mildot reticle. I don't use that scope for F-class however, instead I run a 12-42 Nightforce br with a 1/16 MOA dot.

The 1/8th dot will work but the 1/16th is more precise

I will check out the IOR, thanks!

No anger Jay, just a whole lot of passion for what I do.

Are you a physiatrist who offers a free diagnosis on shooting forums?

Or just some sort of half whit know it all suffering from diarrhea of the mouth?

Either way, your opinion on this thread means nothing seeing how you would rather bust balls than post something relevent.
