WTF???

This little weasel should have been swearing on the Bible (or the Talmud) as if his %$#@ing coc#$ucking little life depended on it?

How on earth can they call him up, with all that Fakebook has been doing, and NOT put him under oath?

Apparently, being a social media billionaire with your own Hollywood 'Biopic (and access to every private message every elected official has ever sent... think about that one!) means you don't have to actually... tell the truth in your little public moment of "I'm important enough to get called before the Senate" glory?

Swamp things... swamp things everywhere.

They can't question Zuckerburg because doing so would cause him to reveal that when he caught Obama's campaign skimming Facebook data he called it brilliant and abetted the operation.

If they get too involved with that someone may claim.......

HYPOCRISY.

Zuckerburg is playing useful idiot at the expense of his share holders.

Who cares he has billions to lose unlike Grammy with a 401K.

As long as it advances the cause.....

What makes you think the bible means anything to them. Look at the testimonies already given to congress. They were sworn in and lied anyway.
Swearing on the BIBLE is no more then a formality that some one thought of way back back when, to these Liberal idiots.

I wouldn’t mind shoving his scrawny ass in a crematory and jerk off to his screams, so no love lost there. That said, who amongst us would give sworn testimony to the congress? Id tell them to go eat a dick.

Do you mind? Some of us are trying to eat.

This is cover to pass laws to restrict competition for facebook and for google. They will end up protected after they pay off the repub and dem mafias. Watch Speech laws to follow. full regulation of the www like europe where they put people in jail for calling out their governments.

You're god damn right it is. Fuck me, that was an infuriating thing to watch.

The groundwork is being laid such that sophisticated AI will be required to police social networks, which will obviously lead to specialized organizations who provide a standardized set of tools that generically filter all kinds of content be it text, video, audio, or whatever.

Think about that for a moment. In order to run a forum, blog, twitter-type-thing, facebook-type-thing, youtube-type-thing, etc, you will HAVE to meet the bar on AI protection and the only game in town there is owned by none other than Wilfred T Communist, INC.

Very bad vibes listening to that nonsense, and all those damned senators that were fawning over the brilliant facebook. Jesus Christ. Kill it with fire!

Yeah, and who programs the AI? Artificial Intelligence is intelligence based on the... programmers. Because , well, lots of Silicon Valley AI programmers are Constitution-loving oath-keepers.

Or are they lowest-bidder Indians? Or leftist knob-gobblers? Or Russians?

AI is scary not because it becomes 'self-aware.' But because the 'intelligence' is being programmed in by people who think they are more intelligent than 99 percent of Americans. They think they are the 1 percent....

Just 'sayin.

With the compute power required to utilize multi-layered neural networks (deep networks) being cheap and abundant, It's less programming at this point, and more 'guiding'.

Take, for instance, 1000 posts from somewhere, and have a bunch of leftist knob-gobbling Indians that speak Russian label each one as either pro or anti communist, or even rank them on a scale from anti-communist to pro-communist.

Take the results of that, and feed ~90% of that data as input to a neural network. The neural network will "learn" that things that look like this post, for example, are pretty anti-communist in the case of the spectrum, and anti-communist in the case of pro/anti communist labels, then feed the remaining 10% in without labels and check for accuracy. So easy a fucktard like me can do it for profit.

It's up to the people doing the training and labeling to set the tone for what is and is not hate speech, or fake news, or whatever. I'm sure the 20k new hires being set to review content for facebook will all be the finest libtard snowflakes they could find.

The scary part is that with FOSTA and other legislation in the works like the Honest Ads Act, there's a chance now that it may become LAW that social network providers MUST use some form of AI which meets some specification in order to continue to operate. This is similar to vehicles being required to have catalytic converters and OBDII ports and so forth.

Very, very well phrased! And I'll argue that 'guiding' is programming... of another sort.

Well said, sir!

I was all over the MPK buildings today.

5 business parks have been converted to Facebook campus not to mention just how large the buildings are on Hacker and the huge facility under construction on Facebook way.

If people saw the sprawling physical metropolis these buildings are, they might wonder how F’d up we have become, that our vanity drives this kind of machine.

It will be fun when we come to our senses and those building become like the derelict textile manufactures in Lowell, MA.

What would be sweet is if the Facebook buildings are repurposed into providing something useful like.........textiles

FB pays 100 $million to lobbyists and to the senators donated to their slush finds 331,000$...they are bought and sold many times over.
From his performance, I feel he is not the smartest guy in the room...but with FB money, he hires very smart people.

I'd love to see a "GUN MANUFACTURER" take them over. That would put the smile back on my face. ;)
