So being as I keep getting asked about contours for the M40 and M40A1 series of rifles. I put a note/sheet together and tried to make it as clean as I could for everyone to follow.

I did list the actual print dimensions from the A1 packet, A2 packet (even though the A2 never officially took off other than prototype rifles it seems like) and from the A3 packet.

There was no tolerance dimension listed for the breech diameter on the original M40A1 drawing. Just shows it as 1.200". If I would assume a standard +/-.005" for that like normal 3rd place tolerance but if you look at the muzzle it is listed as +/-.010" for tolerance. So that is the reason for no tolerance listed on the breech diameter for the A1 as it's not on the print unless I totally missed it.

I also listed the take off barrel from the M40A1 Atkinson barrel supplied by Ryan and the take off barrel I have in my possession from Mr. Land.

You can see how much the tolerances and lengths varied on the drawings as well as how much the two original take off barrels I measured varied.

So, I've been using the Schmidt & Bender 3-20×50 PM II Ultra Short Riflescope for some time. I've used it for the largest DMR competitions we have here nationally (think gas gun PRS style, but shorter distances and somewhat larger steel targets). Great fun!

This specific riflescope is a contract overrun for the Colt Canada C20 with a custom Canadian Cerakote, and uses the Tremor3 reticle.

I did a review for TFB, which is not easily transferable to this format so I hope a link does it.

Looking to shoot a few 3 gun matches next year. I'll need a semi auto12 gauge. These Turkish made shotguns are pretty cheap, some have good reviews and others not so much. What appeals to me about them is the AR controls and ergonomics, it would be the same/similar as running my AR9, 15 and 10. Looks like a lot of them share magazines and you can get pretty big mags. Not looking to spend big money, most of the ones I'm looking at are under $500. I see some are $200 for a Fathers Day special price.
Anybody have one and like it? Any brands to avoid? Things to look for, or look out for?

There are lots of Father's Day Sales going on and with a little bit of savy while shopping- you may find you'd be able to score a pretty good price on the Bushnell Match Pro ED 15x56 bino's with reticle. The glass is Chinese but pretty dang good in my experience, especially at the current price point. Results may vary I suppose, but it's a heck of a lot cheaper than the Swaro SLC's and will still do a lot of what you'd be asking of your bino's. Anyway something to think of...

So this is a fun product. Originally it was made to be the best value combo there was but the company shuttered before these arrived in stock. Not bad little guys. I grabbed a pallet of new old stock and so far these things are really impressing me. Anyone ever seen one?
