I got a little group therapy in this weekend with my 22 long rifle built by S&S precision in Denton, Texas. To 18 shot groups at 300 yards. I think it will work.

Create a channel Learn moreVery nice! I guess that's what you can expect when you get the best 22 ammo. I'm not spending that kind of money on it. I'm cheap, SK is all I shoot haha. My groups are about 2-3x that at 300 yards with SK. It's ok tho, $20-25/50 rounds of 22 is insane to me. This is about average at 300 for my CZ457/Bartlein with a light breeze...

Scrub out all the carbon from the chamber area to see if that helps. I know people don’t like cleaning rimfire barrels but for me if I start getting fliers it’s usually because of a heavily fouled up chamber/throat.That looks pretty good too. I have shot SK long range match shoots almost as good. My problem with it is it has a ginormous flyer in it every 10 to 20 rounds. I saved the 10x for matches and shoot a lot cheaper stuff to practice with.
Very good groups as is. Have you played with the tune? You group has vertical in both groups. You tuner may take out some of that vertical. Try just a mark or two at a time, each way, and see if it changesI got a little group therapy in this weekend with my 22 long rifle built by S&S precision in Denton, Texas. That was the best tune at 100 yds. I did not have time to play with the tune at 300. Next time I have a decent day I will.Very good groups as is. Have you played with the tune? That is a muller 13, twist 25 and 1/2 in long. I also have a shilen 12 twist that shoots the same , From S&S precisionWhat barrel is that?
It takes a very good day. I got a very good day when I was final tuning my B14R at 400 yds. https://www.snipershide.com/shooting/threads/final-tuning-b14r-at-long-range.7168870/That was the best tune at 100 yds. I did not have time to play with the tune at 300. Next time I have a decent day I will.

Try a tuner. I think they are sacrilegious in most cases but for 22 LR your options are limitedI have no access to a 300 yard range.
But based on results at 50, 100 and 200 yards,
I can extrapolate what to expect from competition 22lr and a match capable rifle.
50 shots at a single aimpoint under optimum conditions.
50 yards 0.3 inches of spread
100 yards 1 inch of spread
200 yards 3 inches of spread
300 yards 5 inches of spread
400 yards 9 inches of spread
Yeah, like I'm ever gonna see optimum conditions
and cartridges capable of that level of consisitency.
Not 50 shots but at 200 yardsBen, the best 50 shot group at 200 yards was accomplished with a tuner, 3 inches.
Custom benchrest rifle and lot tested Eley Match off a mechanical rest and rear bag.
I doubt anyone can improve on that using 22lr.
That's pretty damn good. What rifle and ammo? Not 50 shots but at 200 yards
RIM-X 22" Lothar Walther 1:12 twist. Eley TENEXThat's pretty damn good. What rifle and ammo?
Well shiiiit, that explains it. Using top tier ammo, I'd expect that. I need to try some top tier out of my CZ457/Bartlein. All I've shot so far is a few types of SK and CCI SV. I have a hard time paying $20-25 a box for 22s haha.RIM-X 22" Lothar Walther 1:12 twist. Eley TENEX View attachment 8395379
You need to buy it from Killough's...it's only $19.50Well shiiiit, that explains it. Using top tier ammo, I'd expect that. I need to try some top tier out of my CZ457/Bartlein. All I've shot so far is a few types of SK and CCI SV. I have a hard time paying $20-25 a box for 22s haha.
This is the only 200 yard group I have with SK long range. And it's 10 shots. It's kinda comparable if you take out the 1 big flyer...Always have that 1 with SK, why it's cheap hahaha. You need to buy it from Killough's...it's only $19.50
Looking forward to seeing your 300 yard results as well as 200 yard 6x5
