Society and demographics has changed to where you can no longer offer All You Can Eat Shrimp. Thats like looting a store with a mouth. They may as well have advertised Shrimp Reparations.

I don’t crave sea bugs very often, but when I do I get my money’s worth at Red Lobster

I think they are going tips up because their food quality is trash for prices they charge. Might as well go to micky D's and get a McFish. Their best thing is their cheddar bay biscuits. The biscuit is supposed to be an excellent supporting cast member. Not the star of the show.

I think if my family lived closer to valentinos pizza when I was little. We might have broke them eating at their buffet.

About time! That place has been inedible for decades. Had an old relative that thought it was good so we indulged her a couple of times.

Fat poors stuffing their gob with shitty food. Sucked...

Last time we went was during endless shrimp. We waited about 45 or 50 minutes for our first plates. Thats after we waited 30 mintues to order. Useless slow ass waiter. Still left him a nice tip for some reason. Then on the way home we were about 10-20 minutes behind a fatal head on collision that happenned as powerful thunder storm was going over. He could have either saved our lives or cost us another hour waiting for them to reopen the highway. There was about 3 inches of hail on the ground. It must have been a blinding down pour.

Would that make long John silvers the Fizzoilis of fish joints? 🤣
LJS is probably a money laundering operation. Every one I’ve been past in the last 40 years has had two cars in the lot at most. But they’re all still in business. How else would you explain a “restaurant “ that is still open without any customers.

It has been more than 20 years since I have eaten at a Red Lobster. There was one in my county but it closed down probably 10 years or more ago and became a company that does surveys, etcetera.

only time we have ever gone is the All you can eat shrimp, wife likes it. I guess we are part of the reason.

The last time the wife and I went to Red Lobster as the server was seating us said, "no fresh fish tonight". A fish restaurant without fresh fish. Now that's a business plan........
We haven't been back.

This made me turn to my wife and ask when the last time was that we went there. Can’t pin it down but it could easily be 15-20 years. Waited forever for cold cheddar biscuits and only fair food served by some disgruntled server. Totally forgettable. And we did.

once the secret of the cheddar biscuits was leaked they became irrelevant
You can buy the RL cheddar biscuit mix in the grocery stores now.

I do like RL's shrimp, in all their different forms. My taste is not so discriminating as to consider it sub par or inedible garbage as some claim.

I always find it ironic how some can eat canned beans and baloney all week and then become Gordon Ramsey the food critic whenever they go out in public.

Not sure whats going to happen to their delicate pallets when the SHTF and they're forced to eat a steady diet of freeze dried shit or mri's.

Now dawdling or rude service will make me quit a place in a heartbeat.

The boxed biscuits are better than the ones served on site.

Red Lobster will (rightfully) die as a restaurant, but the biscuits will live on forever.

Im rhe sole reason LJS is still in business. I love that stuff!!
My wife's late grandma and my wifes parents like it too. It's like a running joke everywhere we go because I didn't like it. They are like where should we go? Long John Silvers? Lol

Isn't that where most of the "Deadliest Catch" Opilio Crab catch goes to, eventually? Wonder what they'll do, now.

500 years ago LJS was good. But damn what they serve now,and by now I mean 10 years ago, is borderline criminal.

.

No loss here. I haven't been to RL in probably 25 years. The biscuits that everyone raves about were terrible. Maybe they were old or something.

The last time I ate at one, approximately 20 years ago, a family of 6-8 people were passing around cans (3) of Pringles while looking at the menu. They may have been Amish.

Dinner at McDonald’s is now over $20. I can buy a nice package of short ribs or a really nice steak for that…

And get two or even three meals out of it.

Fast food is being destroyed and deserves to go. It’s all over processed shit now. All of it.

Red Lobster… never set foot in one. Shit just looks nasty!

I keep hearing dinner at McDonalds is so expensive. The wife and I ate there a couple weeks ago for 13 dollars. 2 mcchicken, 1 double cheese, a triple cheese meal, and a free mcfrappe for the wife.

Even better, I watch with a smug "told you so" at the number of California restaurants, especially fast food joints, that are closing because there is no way to pay $20/hr while selling at the normal food prices, even for California.
