    In Another Shocking Revelation…

They do not release that information to Police. Is it stupid to use those services? Yes, we are in agreement.

Mullerworks also does CF wrapped barrels, they are excellent.

    Carbon 6 Barrels

If memory serves, Carbon 6 uses McGowan blanks, which used to be pretty good, but there have been rumblings over the interwebs that their quality has slipped considerably, which would explain the same slip in quality at carbon 6. They would likely be better off going with Shaw barrels, if their...

    Remington xm-3 vs Remington 40XS

To me, it depends what you're going to do with it. If it's going to see field use as well as range use, then I would say the XM-3. If it's going to be almost exclusively a range rifle, then the 40XS. Honestly, with what a repro would cost to build either way, I'd just build a .308 to the specs I...

    FAFO

Pistol shots to the noggin don't normally result in "pink mist". Very rarely will you get an exit with a typical semi auto round. Full house 10mm, magnum revolver rounds etc... will frequently exit, bullet dependent.

Killed by a fellow democrat because they wandered off the plantation on some far left principles.

    Tripod Help

I have a BOG death grip. It is a tremendous value, however, it is too short for me while standing (I'm just over 6'2"). My work rig is a pig saddle set up. It's an awesome piece of kit. I put together an ultra lite carbon fiber tripod with a cheesy injection molded clamp that I modified. Very...

New scope for a western hunt?

The ATACR 4-16 is very highly regarded, glass quality in that model has never been an issue (to my knowledge). Other FFP scopes you might consider are the Tract Toric and Maven 2.5-15 models. They are both high quality LOW made scopes

    Christensen Evoke

Lots of manufacturers make lots of claims. Regurgitating what is on their website doesn't make it fact. That being said. The reviews I've seen are positive. The machining pretty well done with much of the variation attributed to the finish applied. It appears you have had great success with it...

How many actions have you measured, and by what method to make this declaration of exact measurements? Because, that isn't the experience of a few folks that have built rifles with them.

Short, Accurate Ohio Deer Rifle: Bergara or Tikka?

Howa mini action in 350 legend. Comes with a 16.5" threaded barrel. Far superior to the ruger product. Tikka is an excellent option, though there is a lot of unused space in that action, which is nothing but useless weight.

New scope for a western hunt?

Most hunters today are overscoped. I think you have a pretty good list, though I would add the two of the MK4HD scopes, the 2.5-10 and the 4.5-18. I have an Leica Aimplus 2.5-15x56 SFP, it is a fine scope, but I dislike the windage. It is not a deal breaker as the only time I touch it, is...

The 7BC is an answer, looking for a problem. You are talking extremely short barrel life for what sounds like in your situation, a short range rifle. ( I may be misinterpreting your post) The 7BC will be dead within another two years. Cases are not reloadable to any degree of satisfaction, ammo...

Springfield Waypoint vs Bergara Premier Divide (or MGLite)?

If you are willing, then building is the better solution. I built on a medium length action, when stock shopping, I looked for places that offered medium length inlets. I chose what is now called the "Pure Precision" adjustable altitude stock. They offered quick shipping, which was a major plus...

Springfield Waypoint vs Bergara Premier Divide (or MGLite)?

A decent stock is going to cost you north of 700, a trigger is at least 160, so, even if he bought the barrel for 700, you're already at a very conservative 1560 dollars. If the barrel is that heavily discounted, you have to wonder if there is an issue with it. Currently an origin medium action...

Springfield Waypoint vs Bergara Premier Divide (or MGLite)?

Both are on sale right now at Midwayusa, the Crest comes in at 2,049 dollars, the Waypoint is 1999 or so. That's less than you can build a CF barreled rifle for. Are they worth it? Only you can say. I built a custom 7-08AI on an Origin med action with a CF barrel. My parts alone cost more than that.

    Gunsmithing cerakote removal options

You could try some JB bore paste on the lugs and run it back and forth, but you're just as likely to put wear on the lugs and not so much on the cerakote.

Rifle Scopes Athlon OpticsAres BTR GEN3 HD 2.5-15x50 vs VIPER® PST™ GEN II 3-15X44 FFP

Very similar products. Look at the reticle and decide which one appeals to you. Also, consider things like FOV. It can be very important when trying to find your targets on the clock.
