I could send you my SS 10X that grenaded itself on my .50 BMG with the old muzzle brake before I upgraded to AR50 brake. There is broken glass in the tube and the reticle rotates while shooting. It's wildly cool.

2012 if memory serves correct, 1-25 SBCT we were in Zabul, Qalat with platoon at Mizan and Baylough (Baylough was cool). 2011 is when we cleared from Qalat to Mizan building outposts along the route and holding it till we left.

I've never been to one but I'm not a big crossfit fan. I'll stick to my 2 gun, run and gun biathlon events. Those are fun. I have met a few people that have competed in the tactical games. Great people, lots of fun to compete with. To each their own.

Great points honestly. At 2500m who is making first round steel on target hits? Reminds me of the TIC A Co had in Afghanistan in the Arghandab just above Mizan. The snipers couldn't get the Afghans that were using plunging fire from mountain tops with PKM's at around 2200m's so the 11C's...

Yep, you are probably correct on the weight of the Savage. Maybe sell the Savage and buy a lighter .338?

23lbs? What .338 LP is that?. My Sako isn't as heavy at roughly 11.8lbs, with an optic it is about 13 or 14 lbs. The new Sako TRG-42 A1 with 13 lbs. The Sako is a comfortable rifle to shoot (I also shoot a bolt .50 BMG for full disclosure).
