Hi Folks,

We opened up a new machine shop in September of 2022 and this is our second product called the Forward Operating Base. We are a group of active PRS shooters designing and manufacturing new concepts for the PRS community. Custom and contract machining services are available as well. Located in Northern Arizona.

Forward Operating Base
Designed as a semi-permanent MPA BA Comp chassis alteration to provide a more stable and functional platform for the PRS shooter. Simple chassis upgrade to get you the benefits of a wider and longer chassis. No need to replace the chassis you are comfortable with already.

  • 6061-T6511 Aluminum - Thunder Bar manifold grade hardened aluminum.
  • 14.9" long and 3.9" wide (Matrix Pro is 3.75w x 14"long) not counting spigot.
  • Full length, low profile ARCA rail on bottom and tuned to closely match the spigot height and width.
  • Rigid fixture to chassis through the use of 2 steel precision dowel pins and 4 flush screws. Extremely solid.
  • Supports use of your existing MPA spigot. Really gets you the long length you want for rear tripod stages.
  • Multiple lug locations to grab on to as you use your support bag, creates a much better interface point vs attempting to grab thin side rails or weights.
  • Weighs 32oz (2lb) with spigot installed. With a comp contour barrel and heavy scope (Tangent Theta) my rifle comes in at 22lbs eliminating the need for any additional weight.
  • Compatible with MPA internal weights and most external weights.
  • Vinyl insulator strip for interface with the chassis.
  • Grab points on the top edges and recesses for easy one hand carry or movement. Every edge is super smooth radii, no sharp points anywhere.
  • Most ARCA attachments such as a CYKE-POD will require the use of a quick release lever.
  • Cerakote Extreme Series Black Out color is the default. Custom colors can be done for an additional charge. Also available in bare metal at a discount.
Introductory priced at $220 including shipping within USA. Comparable cost to buying just rails and weights, but much more functional. Please give it a try. The guys that have shot the prototypes won't go back to just rails and weights and were hounding me to get the production version complete. Personally, I like the length and width of the Matrix Pro, but do not like the heavy thumb hole rear stock. This concept simply started as a way to get the benefits of the width (extra stability) and additional length without having to sacrifice with the Matrix PRO rear stock.

The grab points on the side have the added benefit of helping you control recoil better, an unintended bonus we were pleasantly surprised with. We had to ramp up Cerakote in-house and that added a month delay getting this to market. In the end, this resulted in a cost savings passed on to you and the ability to easily offer custom colors on request. This is really designed for those of you that love your BA Comp and would enjoy breathing some new life into it.

All machining done in-house on Haas CNC machines. All materials are sourced from US suppliers. If you are a Veteran or Active Duty, message me for your discount code.
