I couldn't do it with that rifle.I'll be honest. I couldn't even shoot 100 shots of .300 win mag in one sitting so I fail.
I kept noticing that through the whole video. Am I the only person that hunts with a fortune cookie ?His position is shit.
Is that how they teach zogbots how to shoot in the USMC ?
My fortune cookie says: "your future is camp cook"I couldn't do it with that rifle.
I kept noticing that through the whole video. Am I the only person that hunts with a fortune cookie ?
It was when he was getting a zero. like 3:30 ish.Seems the part where he got cut by the scope was edited out, unless I missed it.....the 2nd shot at 200
yds. or so....
This guys form is trash. and he is terrible at ranging. I always have a bag, but it varies depending on the hunt. If I know there isn't much walking I pack a pint size Game changer with std fill. If it's a hike I'll just bring a small squeeze style bag.I kept noticing that through the whole video. Am I the only person that hunts with a fortune cookie ?
I'd like to do it but it's a long ways to go for what it is. I don't know if I could do 100 straight but I'd bet 90+So, at the end, Jim has opened the challenge. Is anyone here going to take up that challenge? I know I would not. I already know my limits.
Not many “tubers” like to hear themselves talk as much as that nutnfancy fuck, but that backfire guy is close. Sweet baby Jeebus, someone that watches this trash save the rest of us 20 minutes and give us the readers digest version.
Fat USMC guy says he can go one hundo over one hundo on all targets that are laid out in a field environment with his rifle, a .300WM Tikka w/ a Vortex on it. Dipshit proceeds to demonstrate a lack of marksmanship knowledge by scope eyeing himself while zeroing and missing the second target at 322 yards and proceeds to miss a bunch of other targets until basically his hit ratio was about 30-something percent. Throughout his endeavour he doesn't utilize any good rear support, possess little in the way of recoil control, runs his mag too hight, diopter run all the way in, sort of ignores the wind, and basically just wings it. It's basically about 20 minutes of seeing what kind of splash a .300WM can kick up.someone that watches this trash save the rest of us 20 minutes and give us the readers digest version.
Well, to be fair, and having watched both of them for a while, Jim sells stuff, Lt Col Nutnfancy does not. Nor have I always agreed with Nutnfancy on everything, but he does have a lot of good reviews and some smart stuff to say.Not many “tubers” like to hear themselves talk as much as that nutnfancy fuck, but that backfire guy is close. Isn’t it “all marines are riflemen?”but, but, but....... all marines are infantry!
makes me want to puke. i am damn glad i am not a marine. because i am damn sure that infantry MOS marines get even more pissed than i do at hearing none infantry marines say that.
it's probably a smidge worse than army fuckwits proclaiming "i had to do everything the infantry does, AND my job on top of that..." cocksuckers aint got a clue.
and lest any of you marines get twisted up about any of that....i will say i had the utmost respect for the infantry marines i have known. i wished the all the guys i served with had the overall disciple on the level that i saw infantry marines demonstrating. i still stand by the "all marines are infantry" bullshit makes me want to vomit violently.
Needs a bra.
Same. I don't want to go that far to be on youtube.I'd like to do it but it's a long ways to go for what it is. I don't know if I could do 100 straight but I'd bet 90+
0 for 9 over 500. I've cold bored a 6" target at 600 before. One time. I doubt I could go 100 for 100 but I bet I could do better than 31%
Looked to be some form of hornady match ammo. I'd guess it was the 178 eldm load. No brake on that rifle combined with the bad form, I bet that was no fun.Did it say what ammo he was using? Was it actual long range ammo or was he just slinging whatever hunting load he happened to have?
*likes to smell his own farts
*has overinflated opinion of his ability
*100% in denial of reality
*is a biscuit eating fat fuck
*needs to be throat punched
i was done when he scope eyed himself.

Checking with Shooter's Calculator and he was shooting Hornady .300 Win Mag 178 gr ELD-M, at 600 yards, it is at 2,023 fps. If we all play it safe and use impact velocity of 2k fps (even though the box will show less. Heck, I asked the tech support at Hornady and a 7 PRC starts to open up at 1600 but I still use 2000 as my limit) then the round still has the gas to do the job. And one might have a shot like that at an elk. Or even a mule deer, which would have vital organ areas larger than a milk jug.
That being said, his ability is not up to the challenge and if I were him, I would not take shots at game past 200 yards, regardless of the round.
.300 Win Mag is fine as a hunting round and I know personally someone who took an Aoudad Sheep at a bit over 200 yards with that cartridge. He also says he has never shot at any game (whitetail, antelope, Oryx, Aoudad Sheep) past 300 yards. He has shot farther at simple targets and has a lifetime (he is 2 years younger than I am) experience of hunting and shooting small things at distance.
So, this shooter really needs to think harder. He could have appeared so much better if he said he would not shoot a game animal past 200 yards. A milk jug at 600 yards? Who cares? A piece of paper at 600 yards? Who cares? But yeah, he put that foot in his mouth.
I agree, the .300 WM was a bit much. This is just one of the decisions he made that could have been changed to something different and more manageable. Actually, 7 PRC would have been better. Even a 7-08, which people hunt with, as well. Or a .308. Or, if he wanted gas but not as hurtful, a .30-06.The issue isn’t the round, it was the choice of rifle for the event, an unbraked 7 pound .300 Win Mag is fine for a shot or two on game but it’s not something you want to shoot a whole bunch of times in short succession. I’ve shot my 20 pound 300 Win Mag 200 times over two days and even that sucked, a hunting weight rifle simply makes that entire situation significantly worse.
A suppressed rifle with a bit more weight would have made a world of difference in the outcome as I’m sure getting scope eye on the second shot rattled any concentration he had right out the window.
I kind of wish I had went with my brother this weekend as he had access to a 600 yard field and I could have easily set up that test in the rain to see how I would have done.
