Well I'm getting tired of cleaning brass twice, first in a wet tumbler than a second time in corn cob to get the sizing lube off. This will be just for the bolt guns, is anyone sizing before cleaning and is or would there be any problems running dirty brass in the sizing die. Thanks just trying...
howdy fellas, i have a set of whidden 6 creed bushing dies and would like your opinion on using them with the proper 6.5 bushing for 6.5 brass. would there be any reason not to. i recon ill need to get the 6.5 seating stem for seating also thanks coby
i just bought a new redding type s fl bushing die for my 308, i used a nylon brush and hopps to clean the die then ran a few patches through it. on the first 6 pieces of once fired lapua brass, it scratched the hell out of them. i read on reddings web site that you can polish the dies with 400 -...
I have found this locally at a couple stores. it looks to be annealed and new, does anyone have any experience with this stuff. I believe the headstamp was ati 11. thanks coby
the instructions say to use tempilaq 650 for the neck and shoulder and 400 for the case head. I have also read that brass needs to be heated to 650 for several minutes to become annealed, witch is not possible without destroying the case, so it needs to get hotter for a shorter amount of time. I...
so this is my ocw test, im not real sure where to go from here. it looks like groups 2 and 3 or kind of what im looking for. when I went to pull the target, groups 2 4 and 6 only showed 2 holes, so I had an extra for each charge and took another shot at those targets. 2 of them looked like 2...
this will be my first time using this method, and everything I read so far, points to using the target at 100 yards. would it be beneficial to take it out a little longer? thanks coby
i use a thumblers tumbler for first cleaning, i have read that some people use a vibrating tumbler to remove the sizing lube after sizing. what if any do you guys use. im using hornady one shot lube if that make any diffrence. thanks coby
i bought a new rem 700 in .308 varmint. i was replacing the stock will a bell and carlson that was on my 5r, when i got everything together i loaded the internal mag to make sure everything worked properly and it did not. the bolt would not close all the way, so i tore it all back down to a...
so iv done all me reloading on a single stage and i dont mind it but it would be nice to have all the dies set-up in a turret press. does anyone use one of these without problems. i guess my concerns would be with alignment and the turret head flexing. thanks coby
i just got my thumbler's tumbler and set up from stm, what im wondering is can i tumbled already sized and processed brass. i had this brass sized up and relized how dirty the inside of the cases were, hints the new tumbler thanks
well i think i made a mistake in buying a used rifle, i just bought a rem 700 5r in .308. i have been trying to do some load development, and it wont group well at all. 3" groups at 200 yards has been my best so far. 200 yards is all i have to work with right now. i plan to get some 175 gr fgmm...
i just measured for my oal, and came up with 2.905 three times useing tresmon's method in the sticky for oal. my question is that going to be to much, im just trying to be safe. 2.905 is before i set it into the riflings .010. thanks coby
hello all, i will be new to long dist. shooting. i have put in a lot of time with a dpms lr .308 at 200 yards and its starting to get repetitive. i just got a remington 700 5r 24", and want to shoot out to 600 and better, while also useing it for hunting. question is what would be a good optic...
