SWLR is an excellent powder. Very temp stable. If I could get my hands on it I would be running it in my 22 Dasher instead of H4350. Similar to RE16. It's a great powder that nestles right in between Varget and H4350. Barrel life is great. 2500 to 3000 rounds is very common with a good load...
Crazy as it may sound, I'm a huge fan of the mil SCR reticle for hunting. I don't need a tree. It's crazy visible even at low magnification, and very practical/useable. That's the one on my wish list. Though I understand their reason for the reticle they have chosen as a do it all...
Unfortunately, we pretty much ran off every manufacturer's rep. There were a handful.of active reps a decade ago when I joined this forum, Steiner and Burris included. They're all gone now. Scott at Vortex is the last of them, but his appearances are rare. And after getting dog piled for four...
Dust and debris is common in any optic. It's the nature of the beast in a high magnification device. Even the tiniest spec magnified through a rifle scope can look like the dust particle that ate Tokyo! So a tacky grease like substance is applied to the inside of the tube to capture those...
I havent heard specifics. I doubt they'll reinvent the wheel. Burris/Steiner has the G2B, the SCR, and SCR2, the H591, and the Horus Tremor 3 & 5 in their wheelhouse. Steiner has a couple others in addition to that, though I doubt they'll use the MSR. So there's a few good ones to choose from.
I havent heard any updates on it. I'll see what I can find out.. Edit; The mil/mil version is definitely still coming. My guy had no date yet, but he expects they'll set a date very soon. They may possibly have a release date for the NRA show next weekend in Texas, May 17th-19th
I don't know the answer to that, sorry. I've looked through one, I think it's a fantastic hunting optic! Burris offered to give me one and it was the toughest thing ever having to turn it down. But here in Idaho they are extremely restrictive in their usage of electronics in hunting. I'm not...
Man, I'm with you there! An 18x Pro would make a phenomenal hunting scope! I can say there is some really cool stuff in R&D right now. I really can't say much more because I don't know what will make it to market. And those product reveals aren't mine to make. But for folks who are liking the...
I'll try to help fill it. I think we still have a dozen or so spots left to fill. We usually sell out about 2 to 3 weeks before match day, which is about now. Once those last spots are sold, anyone trying to sell a spot will go quick.
Great review! Both the Veracity PH and the Eliminator 6 are upgraded with Japanese glass this year. My suspicion is its the same glass spec as the XTRIII.
You can get Burris Signature HD Series in 12x50 and 15x56 for <$800. Made in Japan, not China. https://www.burrisoptics.com/binoculars/signature-hd-binoculars
Austin cleaned this entire match put on by Prentice last year. This was an AG Cup match and a Qualifier.! Its supposed to be one of the hardest matches in the nation! The top 68 shooters got a 90% or better score!! Super unacceptable from an MD perspective. These guys all got a huge leg up in...
His two day matches are the same though. His Rimfire Finale last year was a meatball match. These matches don't belong in the Pro Series of the PRS. Regional/club is fine. But on a national level they crap all over a level playing field. When a guy cleans his match which is an AG Cup/Qualifier...
Fixed it 🤣 This dot and mount allows for a simple 45 degree cant. I still have a cheek weld, and the size of the turrets and objective lens are irrelevant. It works on everything.
I run this rig on my wolf/lion hunting rifle. This is an old photo, I've had this set up for 4 or 5 years. Still have the rifle which is a 6.5 Creedmoor gas gun, currently running an illuminated 3-18 XTRIII with this offset red dot. Works great, zero issues. The scope is perfect for my needs...
