    White River primers

For the US guys, don't waste your time on these. Once they are gone they are gone for good. They are shipping all of their primers to Aus and New Zealand as they can get 2x the commercial rice to the wholesalers there. The only reason they are for sale here is WR broke their contract with...

    AK for PRS?

I had a 223 AK and it was more accurate than most of my AR15 rifles I have owned. But it was with reloads not the steel cased junk. The steel case stuff actually shoots very well if you replace the bullet with something good. SD's in the single digits was normal.

    Help, my 5.56 reloads suck

Armscor ammo is JUNK. Get some Hornady fmj or their sp55gr bullets. They are usually the same price. I can get 1" with my bolt gun easy with both and TAC.

    WOA 223 Varmint 1/12 barrel

55 maybe 60 will be your max weight in the AR with a 20" If it was a 26" bolt gun you MIGHT be able to push a 69gr fast enough. My 22" remI had with a 12" tw shot the 60gr Sierra better than anything else.

Ballistics Advantage barrels question... warranty issue approaching epic fail

I have BCA barrels that shoot better than the 4 BA barrels I had. I have only one left. It shoots ok at best. BA sells a lot of barrels to other companies to put in their uppers. See this line across what is supposed to be the leade? It went all around each land. This was on their 18"Black SS...

I chuck the die up in my lathe and cut it out. Find someone that has a lathe near you. You tun it down on the inside to leave just a foil thickness and pick it right out.

AR10 pulling rim off and marring on brass

nothing in those pics is the problem you re having. All i see is scratches with carbon in them.

AR10 pulling rim off and marring on brass

Your chamber is rough but not the issue you have. The gun is WAY out of time. The bolts is ripping the rim off as the case is still under pressure as it is trying to extract. Get a adjustable gas block and screw it all the way in so no gas gets to the bolt. Then start by turning it out a 1/2...

    Rock Creek Barrels

The marks are from the reamer before the barrel is rifled. It shows what the feed rate the reamer was fed in. Most times the marks are swaged out smooth but not always. One thing they can tell you is if there is loose spots in the barrel. That is where there will be more marks as the button...

Mosin bolt headspace question for the experts

They are not #'ed like Enfields. Bolt heads are getting hard to find and very expensive. I have never seen a Mosin that had bad head space. But a deep shoulder is another thing all together just like a 303 is.

    is charles custom clones legit?

NIghtmare stories all over the net about taking money on in stock items to only have them go to backorder as soon as you get a email they took the order. Then maybe 3 months later you get what you ordered

    Once fired 223 AR brass

Federal does not do a final strike on the case head to harden the brass. That is why it seems soft. It is a cost cutting thing. They don't care about reloaders. The brass just has to survive the first firing is all they care about. And remember the primer pockets are probably crimped on the...

    22 LR Mach Trimming

I had a video of the cork screwing he talks about. I was shooting cast bullets out of my 308 win at distance and it was leaving a very visable smoke trail. You could see in slow motion the bullet spinning but at the same time the bullet flew in a cork screw looking way. It had 2 types of spin...

    Avoid Palmetto State Armory

Most shipping companies weigh their shipments to make sure everything is there. It help to prevent theft and shorting on an order. The weight has to be very close to be able to ship. One company I know actually has a camera and records every shipment as it is packed and scanned to be put into...

Mosin Nagant bent pu bolt or service?

That is NOT how the Mosins were made. The bolt handle is 3x longer and bent. I have done several. But I don't have a TIG welder anymore.

Am I being an idiot - Why am I getting pressure signs here?

There is NO lead in the bore or throat. The bullets you are using have a solid base not open to show lead. That would be the only way to get lead in a bore from a jacketed bullet. The carbon you are seeing is more of a burn mark NOT a carbon build up. YET. What you have in the chamber is a non...

    7.62X54R for the NDM-86

I would stay with powders in the 4895 speed range. They seem to work way better in Mosins. I am sure there is a pressure spec for the gas port like all other semi autos. Most will need to stay in the 4895 range to work.
