Don't get me wrong, I love Ben Avery. I go there 1-2 times a month. But since you also spend time in Prescott, the range in Chino Valley is about 1/2 hour away. There have been times I've been the only shooter for the first hour or two. Almost like having my own range 😁 I typically go there...
Welcome from Scottsdale. The range in Chino Valley (Compass Training Center) is in the process lengthening the range to 200 yards. I know this isn’t considered long range but ... Really nice people who run the range.
Thanks 👍🏼 Although somewhat controversial, I’ve been weighing my ammo. Seems to help sort out fliers. Tuner is set for only 1 weight, will need to find settings for the other weights 😁
Here’s mine using a Harrell AR15 Tuner. I initially used it primarily as a thread protector. I need more time to tweak it, but pretty satis so far. Definitely one of the least expensive options for tuners 😁
Here’s a picture of my first outing using and adjusting the tuner. So far, I’m very happy with the results 😁 I may in the future play around with it more as I want to try different ammo.
I only have used Harrel’s Tactical Tuner Brake for my Tikka T1X seems to work well enough for me 😁. I tuned it using CCI Standard Velocity 40g, which I have weight sorted (seems to work in my case, gets rid of the odd fliers, but it’s still not match grade ammo).
