FWIW... I would suggest making sure the gas tube has free ( ample ? ) movement through the barrel nut. A "binding" gas tube can adversely effect accuracy in AR's. Not your setup, but worth the read...

Well... I hope those work out for PSA. I wonder what Mark at DC Machine has to say about the Faxon Barrels. EDIT... I wonder if DC Machine might make 5R barrels ? And FWIW... I did find 2 PSA AR15's using 5R barrels.... one flat out says Faxon.. the other says 416R 5R rifling...

After reading about all your problems with this barrel...I am not going to even consider RA for a barrel. The "I don't give a shit" attitude from Rainer Arms is pathetic. This should have been resolved by Rainer Arms in a professional manner.

I'm sorry if I missed this "Faxon" barrel part.... where does PSA say they are going to use a Faxon barrel ? That would surprise me as well.

BTW, the gas tube isn't slightly bent , where you are attempting to insert it ? ... or the tube stops at the raised point.. period. ( just a thought )

I see what you mean in your 2nd photo. Have you tried contacting Aero ? Every typical rifle length gas tube I have looks like yours ( has that shoulder ).... I would suspect, Aero barrel nut is wonky. Maybe try running a hand held drill bit through the barrel nuts gas tube channel, feeling for...

I don't know the volume of air your current Coleman "cooler" produces... but I'd bet it is much more then my Chamber Chillers. I wonder if you could somehow draw colder air from a buck of ice ?... or filled with those bagged ice packs. ( Limit moisture blowing down the barrel. ) I have never...

I would also suggest making sure your parallax is set properly . While looking at the sky, focus the reticle first. Then bobble head, while looking through the scope, adjust the parallax until there is no visible shift of the cross hairs.. This a simple description.... watch some videos on line.
