Everyone here just throwing out names with no data. https://pewscience.com/rankings Filter ammo to supersonic .308 and sort by Ear (shooter) suppression rating. Start at the top and go down until you find one that meets your budget and size/weight needs. You’re using this for hunting so...
If $1100 is a massive purchase to you that’s fair, but in the ocean of what many of us have spent on guns/NV/suppressors/etc, gambling the WB718 price to have what may well be the best 5.56 can on the market feels like a small wave. I have no reason to believe it will ever even need warranty...
I have a CAT WB718 and it is astonishing. 12oz. Size of a K can. Run it on an 11.5” Spear LT SBR. Quietest 5.56 can I own. Zero gas in face. Zero flash. I may well buy another.
I use my ClipIR X-ELR more nowadays for distance shooting and I want to get a Voodoo-S for helmet mounting, so the Tig is up for sale. It is in very good condition, works perfectly, takes more magnification than anything else in its size class, and comes with everything - factory hard case...
It’s completely application dependent. If you’re shooting 600yd benchrest on a static range with a 70lb railgun a fixed 40x scope makes a lot of sense. But if you’re hiking around the woods with a Mk12 on your back you’d be a fool not to have a variable scope, they are so much more versatile.
I do that because I already had like half a dozen Atlas bipods with Picatinny clamps, why buy another $400 Arca bipod when I can put on a little pic rail that came with the rifle and use all my existing bipods?
1) If they don’t sell it to civilians who cares, plus knowing BE Meyers it will be $22,000. 2) I’m not the military but I dunno if snipers want an active laser “disturbed reticle?” Seems like you wouldn’t want a laser to pinpoint the shooter’s location for a near-peer adversary with NV...
I didn’t say it’s impossible for Arca to walk off, after all it was invented for cameras with no recoil. I said it’s dumb we have multiple companies making their own proprietary locking systems. MLOK was successful and widely adopted because Magpul made the licensing free. They should have done...
Mine works ok but obviously these have no screen so everything has to be done through the app, which automatically makes it suck compared to the Garmin. I don’t think I’ll ever use mine again. Waste of a thousand bucks.
