What do you think you are doing when your initial zeroing? It's not if.....its when. Nothing is perfect. You are correcting the sights for all tolerance stacking of the individual parts.
Why would you drill out the aluminum chassis to put aluminum pillars back in? Fitting/clearancing the bottom metal....sure. But why remove aluminum just to add it back in?
