OK, serious question time. I ask in "good faith," and I trust all of you will resist the urge to react to that "snark-o-meter." :ROFLMAO:

One of the chief complaints I get from liberals about "conservatives" (aside from us all being "gun toting dumb asses that just want to hunt all the time," etc.), is that there aren't very many "creative" conservatives. And by "creative," I mean people who excel in the "Arts," "Drama," "music" (other than country/western), intellectual pursuits like Science, Economics (well, we do have Thomas Sowell), Medicine (but we do have Ben Carson), Legal/Law (where we have Clarence Thomas), etc. etc. I would add others I've come to know and admire, but I don't know if they're actually liberal or conservative.

I want to prove the libtards wrong! I want to show them that there just as many (if not more) creative conservatives out there. For example, in re: the "Arts," (painting/design), we have Jack Phillips of "Masterpeice Bakery." He actually does some fantastic cake designs. Or, perhaps, all of the actors in Hollywood that have to stay "closeted" lest they get blacklisted because of the libs that control Hollywood. And, in re: Heavy Rock Music we have "Uncle Ted", of course. The libs seem to believe that "liberalism" is better because it fosters more "creative freedom." I'm not down with that at all. I think we are just as creative. We can be just as academically intelligent, as artistic etc. etc. as those who call themselves liberals and think that anyone that isn't one of them is dumb, racist, etc. etc. .

I recall watching a college Football "halftime" show that was broadcast on TV. It was the Univ. of Michigan vs. Brown Univ. and featured the Marching bands of both schools. The Univ. of Michigan band took the show totally seriously as I know they would, having gone to one of their competitor schools in the Big 10 and witnessing both the band and the football team trounce ours). They did 3-4 solid numbers with precise formations, etc. etc. as any school that takes Marching bands seriously would (as did my school). The "Brown" marching band, realizing that they were just simply "outnumbered and outclassed," decided to take the "creative" approach and make a humerous "farce" out of the event (i.e. not even playing anything serious, but what would look "creative" to a liberal). The Brown "narrator" saying things like, "Watch while the parents of Brown students go "baaaroque" (i.e "broke" due to the tuition costs being the double entendre). Even the TV commentator had to remark as to the reaction by the Michigan band members and their utter disgust. Rule #1, you do not "dis" a Big 10 marching band like that. You just don't. But, I guess it was their (Brown's band) attempt at being "creative." It failed, miserably.

Anyway, I want to put together a list of "creative conservatives." People who are just as creative artistically, intellectually, etc. etc. but are also "conservatives." I mean, the only real differences between libs and conservatives is our beliefs on the level of govt. in our lives, fiscal policies, the degree of religion in our lives and our senses of "right vs. wrong." Conservatives seem to want to "play by the rules" more often, and Liberals seem to think it OK to break the rules if it gives them an advantage. Other than that, we could be just the same, intelelctually, creatively, artiistically, etc.

Who, then, are some of your favorite "Creative conservatives?"

OP, you're mistaken to think any amount of evidence, of facts and logic, will bypass the mental defect that makes them democrats and not Americans. Democrats actually have to ignore human nature, history, and the laws of economics, to stay in that state of denial they're all in.

They don't deserve your friendship and it's best to cut them loose.

We had a guy here that used to do a GAOW award in the MPT, but he fizzled out.

    No, he didn't.

He just does it now in "stealth mode."

Every Wed. Morning (usually at 6amET or shortly thereafter), take a look at the MPT thread. Look at some of the a$$ pics. If you see his reactions to a given shot as follows, then the GAOW awards have been awarded for that week.

a  reaction to a post is GAOW for that week.

Rule #1 is you don’t dis a Big 10 marching band?

    Holy fuck. This place. 🙄

Could it be that by definition, a ”conservative“ is not open to new ideas (conserve, i.e. keep things like they were) and thus can’t be creative in the way that a “progressive“, who is open to new ideas, can change the paradigm by bringing new experiences into the zeitgeist? No real judgement there. Conservatives are just as retarded as progressives in their own special way. Republicunt and demonrat are just low iq ways of virtue signaling.

But fuck those stupid marching band fags.

There is plenty of them in the Christian world

You'll never convince a lib of anything

Creative conservatives don't exist because the first rule of being in a liberal field is keep your head down and your mouth shut. Just the other day I was talking with a good friend at work (I could of sworn he was the exception--good ol farmboy like myself--still works fam farm, talks deer hunting etc...) and he was complaining about "Trumpers" and whatnot. Made we had a convo about those crazies and their no-mask bullshit!

I tried once to stand up for "Red America" working in Texas in Plano, one of the redest areas around (cept fucking CA people infecting now)

I essentially got fired. I forgot the rule

    Mouth Shut
    Head Down
They come for the intellectuals first (See Mao's Red Guards)

PS during my surgery stay everyone had to wear a mask. Except me! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA When I woke up I didn't have one and I never put one on.

I would argue that we conservatives are open to new ideas, etc. We just have rules about how to implement them. We don't expect other people to pay for our ideas (i.e. taxes). We do feasibility analysis to determine if our ideas will be successful/profitable. We don't "mandate" that others believe in/follow/comply with our ideas because "they' (the ideas) are right,,," etc. or they are "in-line" with our political ideology. Everyone is free to come up with their own ideas and implement them... as long as they "self-finance" them.

We are just as "charitable/philanthropic" as liberals (another chief complaint I hear from them). We just believe in devoting our charitable efforts towards "Long term, root cause" solutions that actually fix the problem! We don't believe in just throwing $$$ after $$$ after $$$ to a charity where we don't know where the $$$ are going or if the charity itself is "skimming off the top" for purposes of profit (and thus doesn't want the long term problem solved as it would end the need for the charity and, thus, their "profit machine"). Furthermore, we also believe in a much more "direct / hands on management" of our beneficiaries. We pick individual beneficiaries that we know will benefit from our charity and help them. We monitor them and keep them going to the point where they can function on their own. And all we ask in return is for them to "pay it forward" and pick people for that same philanthropy treatment like we picked them." Like the old parable, "Catch someone a fish and you feed them for a day. Teach them how to fish and you feed them for their lives."

I always like to add, "But at the end of the day, they better get up off their asses and GO FISHING!" :)

I wish i could remember the source, but conservatives have been shown to be more charitable with their own resources. (of course, liberals are VERY Charitable with YOUR money!).

The labels these days are out of whack. Conservatives really want to conserve liberalism (the original 'Enlightenment' liberalism, while liberals are really progressives/populists trying to progress towards socialism.)

Being open to new ideas isn't a liberal/conservative thing. That's just BS the news tell you. Engineers are "conservative" in that they are dense as fuck (pissed off all the engineers--including my Dad and brother). Why do I work with all the hippy scientists? Because that's how my brain works. As long as we don't talk politics, I am a fucking happy little clam chortling along about the latest theory and experiment.

I hold a PhD in pretty hard science, and yet played in Orchestra/Band until I graduated from Grad School (I got no academic awards in HS, I got top music student, and yes i am STILL pissed). I have a very deep appreciation for poetry and literature (HAHAHAH GAY!). Your Premise is wrong. Its Liberal Groupthink/Propaganda that Liberals are "Open" Conservatives are "Not"

We have a similar divide in science between Theorists and Experimentalists.

Theorists couldn't catch reality if it bit them in the ass.
Experimentalists are dumb basement dwelling daywalkers.

In reality, they are just different.

PS Fuck the Big 10 and Fuck Michigan in Particular. SEC can go fuck itself as well.

Hey I am totally hinged. And if I know I'm a lunatic, does that make me not a lunatic?

In reality its 40+ years of hiding being good and behaving in a society that rejects you. If I don't vent here it goes south in hurry. I know you guys are gonna kill me eventually, but the libs wanna do it first.

    Back on topic:
The 'conservative' in my family was my mom. And trust me she was a "Creative" person. One of the best pianists (snicker) I've have seen. Yes there are more polished artists, she could sit down and play ANYTHING--she had offers to go touring. Started her own tax business in the 80s. Got pissed at society retired and started a quilting business in her 60s because fuck it why not.

My Dad, a hardcore Rush enthusiast (radio not band) was a lib in his younger days, he doesn't know that I know (you know), but my mom enlightened him. She loved Nixon back in the day (just save it guys, I'm on a roll) and brought my Dad around to the Pro-Nuke side in the 80s. It was her who taught me about Reagan when the school was shoveling propaganda about nuke weapons and power. She broke the system for me and showed me to think for myself at a young age. She was 100% a "creative" and probably the most hard core conservative I've ever met (and she LOVED Trump too--they way he sat in politicians craw just made her giddy).

Between that and my Dad "Don't show anyone your good test scores" I got a lot of repressed anger against pretty much everyone.

@Fx51LP308 I went to Michigan State so my loathing of Michigan is deep. But while they were busy chapping my ass about sexual harassment with seminars every 5 seconds they let Larry Nassar bang the US Gymnastics team--I seriously thought about returning my diploma.

This is easy - trying to prove anything to a liberal that is contrary to the approved liberal mantra is a waste of time and energy. I've been paid well for my creativity. I choose to create things and solutions that are useful.

If you must fuck with a liberal, make him listen to the Amboy Dukes "Journey to the Center of the Mind", and after he likes it, tell him who the lead guitarist (taming a hollow body) is.

    Go green!

Conservatives have to be creative ; all the shit they spew about small businesses and lower taxes and smaller government and family values - and it’s all lies and they’ve never conserved anything g except their own wealth and the names on the epstine client lists and ledgers

They built/thought (some call this creative) of all the things that made/make life pretty damned comfortable so the ballet/dick smoking/can't change a tire/ pour piss outa a boot bitch boys can talk about how much they mean to society...

True! We would still be riding horses and reading by candle light if not for conservatives.

LOL, nice pull with the Ted song. Unfortunately, they are usually quite accustomed to a staggering amount of cognitive dissonance, and the mental fuckery probably won't really hold well enough.
