No..
The B1 cannot go vertical and gain altitude. Their thrust to weight ratio is about the same as a B52, around 1-4. You need to be at 1-1 or less to be able to go vertical and gain speed.

I've sat at EOR with the F-4 and F-111. If you want to feel what real raw power is like, that's the place to be. I've only been able to sit on the taxi way when a B1 took off about 100 yards away. That was very impressive.
What angle could it climb?

Genuine question. I would like to know. It's an impressive aircraft at any rate.

Ole and Sven are drunk and killed in a car accident near Moose Lake Minnesota.

They get rejected at the Pearly Gates and get sent straight to hell for their lives of drunken debauchery.

Satan meets them and assigns them a spot near a pond of boiling sulfur and asks what they think of the spot where they will spend eternity.

Ole and Sven both say it's much better than living in Moose Lake, nice and warm with no mosquitos.

A few years later a huge comet crashes into Hell turning it into a frozen waste land. Everyone is miserable, the cold is just as bad if not worse than the burning heat.

Satan hears loud cheering and commotion and goes to investigate.

He finds Ole and Sven running around a campfire, with no shirts on, drinking beer, cooking hotdogs and screaming, "The Vikings won the Super Bowl. The Vikings won the Super Bowl."

How many kids do I need to sell to get one of these?

Well there's where it went!

Been looking all over for that!
Funny story time: The first real job I got after tech school was a large dealership and one of the makes in our shop was Lexus. We had an ES300 towed in that all of the brakes had been fried on. Pads, rotors, calipers at all 4 wheels needed to be replaced. The story from the customer was that all of a sudden the engine went to redline and they had to push the brake pedal as hard as possible with both feet to get it stopped. When the Lexus guys started looking at it they found a tiny Maglight wedged in the throttle body linkage. The customer said it had just had some work done at another shop so they called and asked “Hey, are you guys missing a tiny Maglight?” At first they were excited to get the light back. Then the situation was explained further. Then they weren’t so excited to replace all of the fried brake parts for free…

I've been at EOR when F-15's and F-22's were taking off to do mock combat against each other. Very big difference in noise. In other news, the pilots were telling me that the F-15's needed 5-1 ratio and visual to take out F-22.

My brother was tasked to by one of the aggressors for the AF F-15 Fighter Weapons School graduation exercise. They were flying T-38s; no radar, just GCI calls. They killed all the F-15s because of the tactics they were using.

If you know what an aircraft is capable of and how it’s employed you can generate a senario that you opponents will fall into.

I think the F-15 still holds the "time to climb" record.

Yes 49 years ago.

1 February 1975: Major Roger J. Smith, United States Air Force, a test pilot assigned to the F-15 Joint Test Force at Edwards AFB, California, flew the McDonnell Douglas F-15A-6-MC 72-0119, Streak Eagle, to its eighth Fédération Aéronautique Internationale (FAI) and U.S. National Aeronautic Association time-to-altitude record.

From brake release at Grand Forks Air Force Base, North Dakota, at 913 feet (278 meters) above Sea Level, the F-15 reached 30,000 meters (98,425 feet) in 3 minutes, 27.799 seconds.

This was the eighth time-to-altitude record set by Streak Eagle in 17 days.

In regards to the Saratoga area, pretty easy to get a concealed carry and you normally have your license approved in about 4 or so weeks, Schenectady which was also lumped in with it takes a little longer, but once again, the big cities are liberal shit holes, but outside of those cities, there’s a lot of rural that is definitely pro 2A…. The fact that Washington and Warren counties are yellow isn’t the truth, pretty easy to get unrestricted licenses in those counties…. Only one in the capital district that actually takes retarded long to get is Albany county about 6+ months normally…..

when the Supreme Court overruled ny gun restriction laws, there was A LOT of people issued unrestricted licenses in this area SUPER FAST, like A couple of weeks which is unheard of around here.
VA is the same way. The 9 northern VA counties, the beach area, and Richmond are all VERY blue. The rest of the state (with a few exceptions like Charlottesville, college towns) are very blue. NoVA contains Fairfax Co. one of the richest places in the country...

Guess where the population that outvotes the rest of the state lives?

We're not as bad as NYS when it comes to gun laws ...yet... but the leftists control both houses of the govt. Thank doG we have a Republican governor. .

A little known and less cared about fact, the F-4 was the only aircraft that set the time to climb record carrying a load of 4 air-to-air missiles (Aim-7).

They actually reduced the drag.

On March 23, 1966, during what is now referred to as the Palomares incident, a B-52 bomber carrying four hydrogen bombs collided with a refueling tanker in Spain, resulting in one of its nuclear weapons plunging into the sea.During the U.S. Navy salvage team's efforts to retrieve the bomb, the towing line snapped, propelling a heavy steel pipe towards the team. In a remarkable display of heroism, diver Carl Brashear shielded his fellow team members by deliberately placing himself in the path of the pipe, sustaining an injury to his leg.Despite the harrowing ordeal, Brashear not only survived but also achieved recertification as a master diver, despite having his leg amputated. This remarkable feat made him the first amputee diver in Navy history.Brashear was motivated by his beliefs, saying "It's not a sin to get knocked down; it's a sin to stay down" and "I ain't going to let nobody steal my dream."In recognition of his role in recovering the bomb, Brashear was subsequently honored with the Navy and Marine Corps Medal, the highest navy award for non-combat heroism.

Too bad he's term limited to just one term. I hope the Lt. Gov. runs. She should win.

So Virginia Beach is blue? Weird, since I'd imagine that whole area (Norfolk, Va Beach, etc.) is all Military. My niece is a licensed physical therapist in Va Beach.

Dunno, I've only watched them when they were headed out on a mission. Probably at max ordnance load. They don't do those types of hi-g maneuvers fully loaded, that kind of thing is saved for FCF's or BCM flights.
For some reason, that kind of training isn't generally done in theater.
