A local Albuquerque company S2Delta has released a new chassis. It’s 1 pound without the buttstock and grip.

So 2-2.25lb.

It's the same weight as the XLR Element MG but cheaper. Can be made down to 28oz.

They sent me a picture of the assembled chassis. 2.5 just like @TheOE800 called it. They make their own butt stocks. Also a chance they are going to come out with a lighter tube for mounting the buttstock.

That was with the prototype Mg chassis with aluminum butt stock, there’s a magnesium skeletonized version out now that’s a few ounces lighter.

I wonder how it compares to the HNT.

Certainly cheaper, but not quite as light, doesnt fold, or have the nice lines of the HNT. I like the ultra-light chassis idea a lot, so kudos to them for jumping in. Hopefully more makers get into the segment.

Definitely more affordable and has more features (tool less LOP/cheek risers and full length 12” Arca), but it won’t be as light until we move to exotic materials on the grip and butt stock body.

S2Delta doesn’t have a retail facility open to public, but Score High carries the chassis. Charley will show you if you ask.

Need to get the LOP down to 12". 11" would be the stuff. Starting at 13.25"- 15.75" is some 1995 thinking.

It doesn’t appear to. Unless they offer mag latches of varying heights.

Hard to tell from the pics, but the area in front of the mag well is blocky and sharp, or at least it appears that way. You have any more pics of that area? It will likely carry there, which would make its shape a concern.
