Even isolating the last 12 months, accidents and fatalities are minute compared to historical numbers.
Over 30,000 flights per DAY and over 2 million souls in the air per DAY is our average right now.
The few crashes and mechanical incidents making the headlines are an exceptionally small failure rate compared to the actual traffic volume.
Just like some of the manufacturing and food processing fires being posted, certain headlines can be filtered or hand-picked to exaggerate perception. We are so connected with instantaneous news feeds and social media in the palm of our hands that it is easy manipulate news of any event good or bad.
Our government and MSM is guilty of it but so are individuals that are trying to counter government and MSM.
