Hello friends. Just about done with my build here with in 2 weeks will be ready.
Building 300PRC that will be shooting up to 2000 yards, target and maybe once a while taking animal at long distance.
Shooting system:
Mausingfield Action by ARC with 30 MOA Rail.
Kinetic Research group (KRG Whiskey 3) with folding stock Chassis.
TriggerTech Diamond Trigger.
27" Carbon Fiber Proof Research Barrel.
APA Gen 3 Little Bastard Self timing brake,
BT35-LW17 5-H Atlas Bipod.
Accurate-Mag 3.850 Overall length.
SPUHR 34mm Mount.
230gr A-tip should be around 2950-3000 FPS.

Budget for new Scope: $4500
Would recommend 34mm tube because i already have SPUHR 34mm Mount.
Scopes i already have on my other rifles: TT525 GEN 3XR, Kahles 525i, Steiner 5-25x56 M5XI Military, NIGHTFORCE 4-16x50.
Looking for input what you guys have on your Magnums for long range shooting past 1 mile.
Thank you in advance.

With your budget. Anything will do.

I've shot further than that with my 300 Norma mag with 230gr Berger Hybrids with a 5-25 XTRII. So you'll be ok. ;)

I'd be looking at a 7-35, or something in the 5-45 flavor myself.

Of course, I don't have much mirage to fight in the cold north.

I took on a similar project. I chose ATACR 5-25, no regrets. I’m sure anything in that ballpark is going to be just fine, especially for the occasional hunting application.

what twist rate did you choose with proof?

I don't recommend going straight from Waikiki to Sunset Beach. You may drown.

My eyes aren’t the best anymore...so if I were building something for 2k yards, I’d probably be shopping for a S&B 5-45.

My .300NM rifle has a K624i scope with AMR reticle.

I think the AMR reticle is one of the best ELR reticles out there. I'm a bit surprised you don't see more people with them. Lots of elevation built into the reticle, with 0.2 mil graduations in both windage and elevation. You could shoot out to 2000 yards with just holdovers on this reticle if you had to.

Some vendors are still selling the K624i with AMR reticle. Unfortunately I don't believe the AMR reticle is available in the newer K525.

what is the dingleberry on the bottom?

That my good friend is the angel tear reservoir. The illumination operates off of them using a proprietary fusion process.

But no, it’s the battery compartment. I’d love to have one, if they came in CCW. Just can‘t do CW.

I think it will be just another TT525 Gen 3XR i like the reticle and pass 1500 yards nothing can touch it at least for my eyes.

slight off topic but just how good are the hensold’s.
May this level there will not be 100% better (matching $ difference), but are they that nice
Never saw one in person

Ehhh, it’s really, really pushing the limit of diminishing returns. It’s is probably the best glass I have every looked through, butter-smooth turrets, rugged and 36 MILs of internal travel. Worth what you could get one for - not today by any means.

If I had to put it overall perspective, I would say it’s 5 percent above a TT525P and maybe 8 percent above a S&B PM II 5-25.

I think lowlight owned one or still does.

I haven’t played with the new ones but I’m still impressed when I get to shoot my buddy’s rifles with the now pretty dated 4X16 and 3x12.

So they put it in a location requiring extra high mounting....my mind is blown

I agree, not a great design in that aspect.

Plus, that reticle seems horrible for ELR use.

No, it’s not. Not sure what they were thinking there.

The reticle, it’s not too bad! Pretty much a P4F with shorter stadia. Definitely wouldn’t be my first choice if I had choices.

Get the ZCO and put the 1k you will save on the TT toward another barrel and reloading. 5-27 has been absolutely stellar beyond a mile. Moreover, you won't find anyone more helpful than Jeff Huber.
