H.R. 8. Universal background checks (aka universal gun registrations via 4473 form). We need to heavily pressure Trump and other Republicans to stand firm on this one. If you look historically some law like this is always the first step.

The text below is what I sent to my senator just a moment ago. I post it again here for your convenience should you decide to contact your representatives. Should you agree with the sentiments it expresses please do not hesitate to use it. While it may not feel like it, writing your representatives, especially senators, helps tremendously. Unless, of course they are the likes of Pelosi, then you may as well stab your pen into your own hand for all the good it does.

    Hello sir,
I am aware that this bill will have to pass the house before it comes before your chamber, but I felt it imperative to contact you regarding this matter preemptively.
This bill would require background checks on all private transfers of firearms with some narrow exceptions. This is a contemptible requirement for several reasons. The first of all is the fact that the right to keep and bear arms is a natural, God-given right to all men. This was often referred to by the men who wrote our founding documents as the "Biblical right of self-defense". What is a natural right given by God the state has no authority to regulate. I believe, sir, that you are well aware of this as evidenced by your introduction of the Hearing Protection Act.
Secondly, while you and I have both filled out ATF form 4473 to purchase a firearm at a gunshop, we both know that this does nothing to prevent criminals from obtaining guns. It also creates an uncomfortable, de facto registry of all guns bought and sold from a FFL. These forms are required to be kept by the FFL for 20 years and must be surrendered to the ATF for permanent keeping upon the FFL's cessation of business. This form contains the purchaser's full name, date of birth, physical discription, social security number, address, ethnicity and race, ID number and info, as well as the type of gun sold, manufacturer, model, serial number, and caliber, as well as location of sale. I do not need to give the government this much info to exercise any of my other rights, and only slight more information would comprise the paperwork for a Secret level security clearance background check. The left wants no one to have to show a simple ID to vote, but wants every citizen to have to submit this information to be held in perpetuity every time he or she wants to exercise a right that is specifically stipulated may not be infringed.
Thirdly, this will undoubtedly be something that gun shops charge for . I know that in WA when they instituted their universal background check law the average cost of a transfer was $25 a person. You and I both know that in Idaho many of your constituents are not wealthy. They work hard to provide for their family and to maybe save for that new hunting rifle for elk season this year. An extra 25 dollars is a significant cost increase for many families in this state.
I would lastly like to include a recommendation for the book "That Every Man be Armed". I found this book here in Afghanistan and have been reading it to pass the time. It is the best book on the legal development and history of the 2nd Ammendment from the time of English common law until the modern day. It is well sourced with almost 100 pages of footnotes, most of them original sources. It makes very clear that gun control laws were widely regarded as unconstitutional in early America, to include concealed carry bans and permit requirements, which were often used to render free black citizens helpless in the face of KKK violence.
Thank you Senator Crapo for taking your valuable time to read this email. I am very concerned that the rights that I am over here to uphold will be taken away by folks at home who have not had to struggle to keep them.
Thank you for your unwavering defense of our Republic and freedom. Your actions in Washington excite great support and respect from all of us back here in Idaho.
Best of luck and God bless,

Save the nuke for califuckthatfornia. To much good stuff in DC. All the memorials and statues. Plus the stuff in the museums. Next trip there we are going to see the holocaust museum. I heard it is a very solemn place.

My bishop from church told me and my wife about it. The tickets are free you just have to reserve them. Make sure to get them early. We got our first set 1 month early. They were already booked full except for the day we flew into DC. Flight delays and crap, we missed it.

I went there a few years ago - very chilling. I haven't been to any holocaust museums in Europe and never been to Israel, but the museum in D.C is very sobering. It will make you want to buy more ammo.

I was there shortly after it opened and then returned with a different group for a second visit about a year later. It was both humbling and disturbing the first time through and the second time through it was even moreso.

I personally recommend it to everyone I know travelling to DC. Not because it will be fun, but because it WILL be an educational experience.
If you arent moved and disturbed by that experience you must not have a pulse.

I will tell you that Auschwitz and Berkinau are haunting.

Toured them with my ex when we were there.

It was very rough for her because her grandpa spent some years in Treblinka. Seeing a little into the hell he survived shook her hard. I never knew the man and it was so profound I can hardly explain it.

I would like to see the one in DC. Along with the Wall, the Tomb, and Smithsonian.

Horrific event of our time and the world never removes these dictators till its too late and everyone is dead. All the more reason to blast anyone in the stomach who tries to disarm you. When your government passes law to confiscate your arms or makes it illegal to have your arms you no longer have allegiance to that government especially when that government was formed on the basis of having arms.

I have been to the Auschwitz camp and museum...On a cloudy day that felt like even Heaven was holding back tears. The feeling hits you like a most vicious punch to the stomach, to know what had went on in such a place and HOW on God's green Earth these devils had been engaging in their activities for so long before they were stopped.

I have also read many books on the subject and it is one of the most nightmarish subjects to discuss. Elementary school teacher had relatives who perished in those camps and in her classes, I brought up guns in the hands of citizens for defense against tyrants for the first time. This was a school in New York. NOBODY tried to contradict my statements or views because they fucking made sense. How do you stop a cocksucker from shooting you and your family? You shoot his ass first, and then anchor him for good measure. There is no other alternative.

We must NEVER let those who perished under tyrants' hands die in vain. Their suffering are lessons for us. That is why we are armed citizens. That is why we train and compete, so when evil strikes again, our aim will be true and strike with lethal accuracy.

    Buy more ammo.

And read about history, all the time. Weapons physically enable a warrior to fight. Education and knowledge gives him the psychological preparation that he needs to win.

my first job was at a bagel bakery in Edison NJ, after school job, all the bakers were European jew bakers from Brooklyn, there were 2 of them that had tattoos on their arms, my hood was about 10 maybe 15% jew, the holocaust was taught to all of us at a young age, not until I studied in the Army did I learn that the Holocaust was nothing compared to Stalin, Mao, and the collateral damage they did alone.
