So I’ve been back and forth on selling the scope just because I don’t like the color they chose. Not a fan of the blueish gray and if I reserve the right to be picky with my rifle, so I finally just painted it.
Saw a few for sale so didn’t want to post it just yet, and also don’t have the funds for the scope I want yet. Anyway, what do you think?

The paint looks really good. I agree that the gray doesn’t look so great especially on my FDE bravo chassis. Rather than paint, I wrapped mine in black althletic tape. It also protects the scope from dings and scratches too.

SIG got the same idea because they are selling a black version now. I think all scopes look better in black. Good job.

Question: what sunshade is that? Does SIG make one for this scope?

The sunshade came with the scope. And glad to hear it! Hah. The scope itself is awesome for the price.

I actually like the gray color...but, then, I don't like black as a general rule (says the guy with two black vehicles). That said, this looks very well done - impressive!

I've been happy with my Tango6, though I did mistakenly order the wrong reticle.

So did you use an airbrush or an aerosol can? Curing - just air or did you use heat? From your pictures I would have never been able to tell it was painted so excellent job.

I do have to ask - is the Heimdall 6.5 a wildcat?

No, Heimdall is the guardian of Asgard. Hah. I just wanted to name it something.
And just an airbrush at room temp is what I use for all my stuff.

Well I think you have inspiration for the Heimdall 6.5, Thor 6.5 and Loki 6.5 Wildcats :)

Something tells me you're really good with an airbrush, if I did that work you'd definitely tell someone tried to paint it. Again, nice work! Let me know if you'd like to paint someone else's scope(s) ;)

One of my favorite things about the sigs is they're not black. I reminisce about silver scopes too so I may be crazy.

Why not give it a camo or wild paint job?

In case I do decide to trade it, not everyone will want a crazy paint job. Most people are ok with just black. Hah.

I need mine painted...... Hook me up "Heimdall I need you":alien:

Hah. If I had a better setup I totally would. Want to get into cerakote. Since I totally got ripped off by a company I just started doing my own and for friends locally.

Looks much better, nice work. Attached is a picture for those (who like me) didn't know what the original color looked like:

I have a grey one that sits on my rifle in a black krg stock. I would have preferred black, but I dont mind the grey.

Then again I'm more of a function over form kind of guy. Again though, you did a hell of a job on the paintwork.
