I bought a NXS 2.5x10x42 compact with the IHR reticle. I’ve learned that the reticle does not have the versatility on a hunting rifle I would prefer. I called Nightforce and they said they would absolutely change the reticle out for one that is a more user friendly when ranging, Kentucky windage, etc... for $350.00 plus shipping.
Nightforce customer service has always been great every time I’ve talked to them.

On another note, I sent them a reticle design I came up with which is a series of circles and dots to aid and assist in ranging and target ID and fixation. I’m hoping they will want to pay me for the rights and I would like all of you to be my witness if they try to screw me over and steal my concept. One of my favorite movies of all time is The Smokey and The Bandit, so I wanted to name it after one of the characters in the movie. Bandit seemed too obvious and Buford T Justice seemed too long. What are your thoughts on my game changing reticle design?

I also have a secondary design for target acquisition that’s looks a lot like this one...

The hat vertically is a man-sized target at 500 yards right? If so, that's superb design.

    NDA, NDA, NDA.........

    Hi,

Is that snowman reticle calibrated in moa or mil??

Does your scope wear a set of sperm mounts too?

    Sincerely,
    Theis
    Hi,

Thanks for your interest in our new reticle design. That is a REALLY great question by the way. The short answer is yes. MOA in the US and MIL in the EU. We felt that made the best sense due to the fact the good ‘ol USA operates in the imperial system and the EU operates mostly on the metric system.

We have done our research over the years and we have determined that mounting is the preferred method to acquire the SPERM.

    Sincerely,
    Lapuapalooza

    Is this still available?
    Hi,
Thanks for your interest. I am still trying to negotiate a deal for production. Quick question for you. At what point should I become a commercial sponsor of the site? Should I go ahead now, or wait until I have something ready for the commercial market. I apologize if this topic has been covered already. I don’t mean to hijack the thread from the op, so feel free to move this post to the more appropriate thread if you see fit.
I am a little concerned that the reticle may not hold up for range day in the summertime. There is a possibility that it may melt down like a pile of snow flakes. Time will tell I guess. I am looking for investors to get in on the ground floor though. Lots of potential for ROI I think. Do you or anyone you know shan’t to get in on it? I think $303 would be a fair price for you all to get in on the action before the window closes.
    Oh, one more thing....

Is it considered rambling on even if you use all the punctuation in all the right places? I’d hate to be a burden to you and all the other mods on this site. This place is nothing like arf.com especially with the influx of all the new members that have been showing up.

Have you determined an actual date for the Snipers Hide Picnic at your place next year yet? I’m looking forward to it for sure. I’ll be sure to bring a list of questions I have for you that probably would be a definite topic drift in this thread, unless you think it would be ok to post them up here. Again, just don’t want to be a pest or anything...

I know there are a lot of members out west here that would just LOVE to be part of the party at your place. We could probably even hijack a Greyhound and all of us show up together! Wouldn’t that be awesome??? It would be like a family reunion of sorts with like 75 brothers you never wanted. I know we would all want to be there if for nothing else than to see the look on your face when we all piled out of that bus!!!

anywho... PM me if you feel it’s more appropriate. ????

    Yes

That Reticle is racist. White privilege much? But I bet it’s credit score is good.

I've taken the privilege to update the "snowman" reticle to be more inclusive of Frank's time traveling Chinese folks. I hope this reticle design is more gender neutral and racially sensitive to yourself and my ancestors. I call it the FuManChoot. It is a rice hat reticle, with sequentially changing values of mil, moa, iphy and scl (standard chopstick length). I also kept true to the double circle design to get my smaller Asiatic eyes on target faster.

I think the buy in at $303 is to low. I'll offer up $10,000 to get in on this great deal at the ground floor.

I didn't read all of that, but if you're selling more than three of the same thing you need to be commerical sponsor. That Hessian bullshit ain't gonna fly.
Also sign up for online training.
You don't have to attend classes. The instructor can't see past the front row anyhow, and it's mostly about spindrift and mil vs MOA.
The recoil mitigation thing didn't catch on.

    At least they are cheap.

Asked S&B what the price for a reticle change in a PMII 5-25 would be.

    664€ + tax(25%) + shipping... and that's not even with a Horus reticle.

Is this reticle calibrated for 6.5 Grendel? Also will you have the special JEDNKH Snipers Hide edition for those that get in on the initial investment?

Who's in for a group buy? I wouldn't mind a 7-35 Atacr but its gotta be SFP. Can we make the snow man just a little smaller so I can scale it to my target. Would I still have to dial if i could just get bad guy to fit in the snowman? Can I also get two overlapping reticles so zeroing is painless?

For the Grendel? No, come on man! That’s the gingerbread man reticle you’re thinking of. We are working on a special edition Snipers Hide model. We’re gonna call it the ”snipery super sniper from the sniper’s hide forum bitches!” or maybe something more subtle like the “I’m nekked under my ghillie suit” model.
Is there a preorder special being worked on with NF?
I can’t speak for NF as I am not employed by them. I can say that they were really excited about the new reticle design though. During the conference call you could hear them giggle like little school girls and saying things like, “Hehe.... Game changer! Hahaha...” really cool stuff happening I think. Maybe we could purpose a group buy to them and get them stoked for production!!!

    Dimitrios? Or something like that?
That sounds familiar. I think that might have been him.

I think we made fun of some monstrosity hud reticle that was a mix of an acog horseshoe with windage circles in the strangest locations. I don’t quite remember.

    ACSS HUD something.

In the end mods had to intervene but didn’t ban him because of his dealer account. Different site.

Can I get a breakdown of subtensions for this beauty?
I'm also assuming the turrets will be locking, with tactile snowflake clicks easily heard?
Will the dots also be the illumination for night shooting, or the entire reticle lit like a neon outline? The masses deserve the details on this for the go fund me.

I think threads like these should go to a special sub forum for safe keeping.

I met him at a gunshow years back. He was peddling that same reticle on a scope he made and I could tell he was a know-it-all-done-everything kind of guy with a short fuse.

The Fomanchoot looks like a great reticle. If you could only make it to when adjusting the power it also adjusted the distance it would be perfect. So if we ever go back to vetinam all you have to do is turn it till it matches the outline of your enemy and then send it. I also think we could make a Haji one also.

I met him at shot show 2019. He was standing at a Chinese optics booth on the first floor. Told me he invented the reticle etc etc. I bet he’ll be back at Shot on the first floor 2020 of you want to meet him. ;)
