Its been a stupid warm winter this year. It looks like this is going to bring us our first deep freeze in months, its supposed to be 16 overnight. Its probably going to knock out the rest of my fruit trees that didn't get killed last year by the warm fall and deep killing freeze.

The worst is past my house, but there’s a hook echo with debris about 30 miles south of the house.

Wow thats a heck of a signature right there.

Sun trying to peek out here. We are on the back of the front now...freeze warning for tonight. Luckily the trees arent in full leaf yet, so most should make it.

Stay safe Hulka and all in its path! Just thundering here right now . Nothing severe! Got to watch the lower and middle parts of Mississippi as I think that’s where the bad will start forming a little later !

I feel your pain. I planted "frost proof" gardenias here in fall as told to do by the greenhouse. 3 weeks later we had the coldest weather in 3 years+ at 14 or 15 for ONE DAY. Within 3 days leaves dropped. A month later the "hardy" ones dropped. Two weeks ago the Hardy ones came back a bit, only to have yesterday morning. Today I see the frost proof are coming back, surely to get killed with the next 2 frosts this week. Guess I may attempt to cover them.

I think we may luck out here, looks like the more severe stuff is staying down in the south of the state. It is supposed to turn off damn cold by Tuesday, the wife's blueberries are in full bloom. Hopefully it doesn't kill them off. I have only planted one serrano pepper plant, I'll just put a bucket over it and hope for the best.

Just had close call. Tornado on ground real close. Just got out of storm room. Damn kids were frightened. Got dang nervous my self. Now their saying another coming

The first round rolled through here about 4:00 this morning with 50+ MPH wind and torrential rain. It lasted a couple of hours. It sprinkled until about mid afternoon then the sun came out and it warmed up. Uh oh, watch out! The 2nd round just moved through and lasted about the same time with about the same stuff. Except this time our power went off. Ours and about 100,000 other Entergy customers! The power company is saying most won't be back on tonight. Thankfully we have a generator.

You'all stay safe!

Looks like the worst has passed. 3 radar pics indicate this. Finding news reports of damage is difficult right now.
I will have to wait until daylight to see what's outside. Still have power. Was pretty ugly the last hour. Tense.

Hairy enough here to wake me up (very, very southeast Alabama). No sirens or warnings, so I think we should be in the clear. Looks like it should more or less pass thru here in the next 30 minutes.

Started getting relatively windy for here around lunch, but no rain....just windy. When I went to bed it looked like it’s North Easterly track might miss my town altogether.

Central AL and up got hammered.

Y’all be safe.

Emergency Radio just put us under Watch. Moving right along with WSFA 12 predictions. I have come to trust those people. They scare me, but I trust them. Yall stay safe.
Speaking of WSFA, what happened to Rich Thomas? I was gone a few years ago and when I got back he was just gone and like he was never there.
