Stay safe this weekend my friends!

Had a tornado come through our farm right before first light.. we're fortunate that it only took trees, outbuildings and shingles. First time I've had to rip kids out of bed and run for shelter, not fun.. we're all ok tho, thank God.

Glad y'all are ok... Wife and I looking to relocate, and tornado country is not on the list.

Our power came back on about 10:30 this morning. We were off about 15 hours. Reports say that up to 146,000 were without power state wide. Information is slowly being reported but we had one death from a tree falling on a home. The news is talking about trees and power lines down around the State. A buddy that lives 40 miles south of here posted a video on FB with dozens of trees down in his yard.

All good at old place too but just my luck - realtor texts that she's on her way for a showing and 2min later I hear an explosion/power goes out. Bright sunny day and they just did extensive ROW tree trimming a few weeks ago so who the hell knows what that's about but fuse on pole across road is dangling.

And to top it off, I happen to notice pkg on front porch. I never have stuff sent to house, especially one I'm not at so WTF? Turns out to be a brand new iPad Pro from Verizon that I damn sure didn't order so someone is using my name/address to scam a $1k iPad. Karma is really having fun with me lately. What next, a squatter?

Y'all stay safe. If y'all hear a train, it ain't the Amtrak.

I'm hoping we dont see the rain here like last Sunday. Had 70MGD before I left work and surge pumps running full out. Got home that morning and my road was destroyed.

To top it all, I'm trying to move to lower Alabama....i think my cheese has slid off my cracker. Just need to make sure whatever i live in is bomb proof i reckon.
I still think it will beat having my road destroyed every time it rains. Lots of folks dont think the mountains have destructive floods....nothing could be further from the truth.

A couple of pigeons short of bender?

Chikin is the man.
Bender is in need of at least a year in the nervous hospital with Carl, learning a new trade. Carl can show Bender how to sharpen pigeon pluckers. Just sayin, ummmm hmmmm.

Havent been out this a.m. to assess last nights hootenanny here.

Will report back in after a bit.

That dang nervous hospital, it makes you nervous but can sure help him with his lawnmower repair skills if he applies himself!

Gauges and farm log give us right at 4".
Out here, tree damage is minimum.

Couple that got over soaked and wind pushed last weekend, turned loose at the root ball and went over.
Again, we are blessed.
We had rain all day yesterday, some deluge but mostly just soaking rain. Nowhere near 4" in my location but not far down the road a different story. No wind, especially like some parts of the state got. I understand Thorsby and Alex City got hammered with wind damage. Even saw that there was much hail damage in Alex City. Yellowhammer Roofing will be smiling all the way to the bank.
