Not under a rock, but I do work 12+ hours a day and have little time to read everything on the internet like some others have the ability to do recently.

actually yes- i was at the park this past weekend with my wife and dogs and an officer drove past and waved.

i don't go to church - but they are all doing online services.

anyways - there was confusion at first with the OP and we thought he was referring to something specially happening in VA. apparently that's not what he meant.

i thought maybe he was aware of some gun laws or something slipping by that i wasn't aware of.

I get what some of you are trying to say, but the reality is different from what you are putting forth. Yes, there are politicians out there licking their chops, and some that are going over the line.

Personally, i dont like any of it. Shutting down the economy is a giant mistake, and i believe they are overplaying the danger of the virus. Wake me up when it gets to half as many people as the flu has killed.

But in all truth, i dont see the lockdown you are describing.

I dont see the tyranny he describes, yet.....

I see the prophylactic response we are under no different than disciplinary rules I imposed on my children, who, in their anarchy, would call it tyrannical or dictatorial.

As a 2nd Amendment activist, I am well aware of the freedom .gov has taken from us.
As a business running land owning citizen, I am aware of the taxation put on me, without representation, much less it being used to benefit the greater whole, as the first taxes were intended to.

As a visitor to other countries, some two way range, I know the difference between the freedom I DO have here, versus their not having.

Earlier, I said, "yet", I am full well aware where the prophylaxis can go, and what it can become.

The people who wrote the Constitution KNEW there was a time to give up some individual freedoms for the good of the whole.

They did it when they went to the fort to protect the greater numbers when the Indians attacked.

They risked being burned out in their absence from their farms, or risked massacre if they tried standing alone. History records the massacres, losses, and saves.

Then, they had a second dose of giving up individual freedoms when they joined together to fight the redcoats. History records that as well.

Those things were considered when they wrote the Constitution. And prepared for.

Today we face a different Indian and redcoat. Today there are those willing to join together to benefit the whole.

Today there are hard heads who will face a massacre alone and die.

Same but different but same.

We face the same challenges the writers of the Constitution did, just a different milieu.
