PRS Talk What a bummer.

Oh. I sure it’s all legal related.

or to avoid it ending being legal related.

btw. It was a good read while it was up. Very enlightening.

It's not legal

let it go, you'll hear about it later

just defusing a few things
Glad to hear it is not legal. You have every right to run your house as you see fit, I appreciate that you gave us an update.

I missed the tear it down thread. Sounds interesting to say the least...

Well.

You are the bigger man here. Sometimes it’s hard to do the mature thing.

Much respect to you for how you run things and conduct yourself.

It's to bad we cant have nice things! I remember when we all used SH to communicate about upcoming matches and stuff....... now it's all FB including their side of this story posted this morning......

in reality either medium works but these message boards are way better at archiving information that might be useful in the future as well as keeping the conversation flowing..... the comment on comment tree style on FB sucks, you can never keep up with a good rant as once you read everything you have to go back through everything to catch recent updates....

I for one much prefer the hide for these reasons..... and yea, Frank my be stealing our IP addresses and location, but he's not zucking our souls or supporting liberal agendas!

I was going to go with prsh

precision rifle snipers hide

its not censored, it's still there. try not to read into everything so negatively. a misunderstanding that they can, and probably will sort out in person.............. a rising tide lifts all boats. as the sport grows, forums grow, we all benefit. many manufactures are flocking to this sector of the shooting sport which is awesome for all long range shooters with all the new product being released that is geared toward us. I for one am thankful, lets not tear it down...

"Recently Frank from Snipershide and I had a misunderstanding from an email I sent him. After a call he deleted some pretty harsh posts he made. While I didn’t ask him to, he and I agreed that they were not representative of the whole truth. My initial email asked to remove the PRS name from section that we didn’t monitor or post in. It also didn’t represent the PRS organization in a comprehensive way. It just made sense to me. He took it wrongly and it got sporty. We talked and will reengage at SHOT SHOW to see if we can align better. But its water under the bridge and I look forward to seeing if we can unite the community a bit more. The Hide is important part of our community and in the history of the PRS."

You totally missed the part of the PRS post where he says

"So of course there are people that will use these opportunities to divide, promote themselves, gain attention or simply want to hurt the PRS because they are no longer involved. Many of you know who they are; emulator organizations, EX MDs, ex business partners, etc"

and then two sentences later saying

"PRS will not get into the mud if we can help it and nothing negative to say about the others."

He is literally making the second half of his post about the NRL, Ryan Castle, Bryan Morgan and other people that don't agree with him, and then saying that they won't do what they literally just did two sentences prior.

Ifs funny how that works right? Throwing mud at the most respectable guys in the sport.

Not seeing it on their Facebook page anywhere. Is it in a group or something?

A few bitches, internet pot stirrers, giant egos, big personalities, and even management decisions I wouldn’t have made or don’t agree with, don’t make me any less excited to go shoot a two day, PRS match somewhere. Full of good people and tons of fun. I would never have imagined I could look forward to something more than a multi-day hunting trip, but given the choice I think I’d rather shoot a match. As a lifelong hunter thats a massive statement.

This is nothing and sounds like it’s already sorted... fun to rag on though.
It's to bad we cant have nice things!

I’ll be laughing at that for a week.

I will a note,

several others did interject with a few people that opened the floodgates and all hell broke loose.

I'd rather put a pause on the drama as there is 15 years of history between Shannon and i , both he and I tend to do better in person vs through email, or even telephone. we had a two hour call, both sides debated various issues. I felt based on the direction the conversation was going and with talking with mutual friends like George to find a suitable solution to the divide.

there are several factions that have issue with each other, some people have issues with me, others have issues with Shannon. rather open up a war across many fronts I felt it was better to step back and reassess between now and Shot then revisit the disagreement's in hopes to find a productive middle ground.

when Shannon took over I spoke to him back then about moving forward, unfortunately that didn't happen, and the gap between the parties was talked about at length.

I will note this isn't about drama for clicks, or due to any personal slight between the parties. it's a disagreement on some lingering issues that both agree could be better addressed. it's not personal but it started to head down that path and everyone saw it winding up.

SH has become the unofficial complaint department, from the outside looking in, it can and often does appear harsh. I understand seeing them constantly being criticized here make it look hostile. I am guilty and initially passed on his first call only to receive outreach from others to accept it. I took Shannon' s call and agree I was prepared to go scorched earth. After two hours cooler heads prevailed.

Snipers Hide was originally built as community to unite and not wedge. granted over the years camps formed, divides happen as tribes formed and struck out to find their own identity. I get that, forum memberships are cyclical, people come and go everyday.

we can lament the drama was cut short or feel encouraged differences can be settled. if we go back in time things worked better with a unified front. May not be all lovey dovey but it doesn't have to be, there is plenty of light in the grey areas, not everything is always black and white.

Sometimes we lose sight of the fact that everyone is in this for the same reason. We do this to have fun.

This is a great step in the right direction.
Not everyone does this to have fun. If that were the case then there wouldn't be this much garbage floating around. Ego and money fuel these fires.

I agree with that on a certain level. But people have a choice.

Wallow in the garbage, or go have fun.

Because next year when the new season kicks off, there are going to be thousands of guys grabbing their rifles and going out to shoot a PRS/NRL/RTC match or some other. And the very large majority of them dont know or dont care about all the drama here or elsewhere. They got into this to have fun.

So we can cling to all this drama and make a big deal of it, or we can haul it to the curb and leave it there and move on.

Yup! Or else, why would anyone give 2 f*s if a stage(s) is modified or I am being accomadated to shoot an event. I seem to get s* on at just about every Match I attend. Of course, I find out after the fact. Grow some balls and come at me in person, baby.

I like being a controversial figure though.

It's all fun and games, until you become a threat...... ?

100% positive your “accommodated” CoF was as hard or harder than shooting the standard CoF last weekend. The rock pile stage was more like a CrossFit workout than shooting, and you still had high score in the squad.

All I can say is "good luck" on keeping the masses silent when it comes to anything involving the "Panty Ruffling Series". It will either get posted somewhere here, in the Bear Pit or somewhere other than the PRS official forums. There issues can be swept away by a mod immediately - here they live on as long as Frank or a mod deem they need to.

Better yet: Frank, I see a (very small) business opportunity for you.

PRS sub-forum, just like the LE/MIL sub-forum. Paid entry for access. Chatty chat chat all you want in a "locked" environment. Beat them at their own game there - If you can't win it, hide it.

ToS for LE/MIL states credentials must be supplied. Same for the "PRS" sub-forum. Access is only granted to persons not belonging to a management-chain within all divisions.

That's pathetic. Just shows how mentally weak and insecure some people are.

I love seeing you kick ass at PRS and NRL matches.

I get what you are saying, and while I understand the thought behind it, I said, I was not looking for anything from them.

No Quid Pro Quo from me :) was necessary to sit at the table.

Honestly, their numbers won't move my needle much, which isn't really the point, and most of the PRS Shooters consider me and by extension this place hostile to them. So the odds of people coming here, and especially paying money to do it, is not gonna happen.

At the end of the day, I am a realist, this won't change overnight and most of them like the FB Space they operate in. it's easy, free, and convenient for a lot of people. Sure it's anti-gun and as soon as Democrats get in Office you'll probably see FB take another chunk out of gun owners on their platform, but hey that is a lesson to learn. It's not if, but when the FB Gun groups will get put under Thumb by the Antis who own the platform. If they want to support, Marky Mark, more power to ya.

This place is probably better suited for gun-centric talk, but they are well established in the FB ecosystem.

Most aren't aware of the growth since Scout, which is fine, clearly, we can fill the spaces with others as my current stats eclipse any previous statistics when many of them frequented the site. We are head and shoulders above the heyday when you look at the numbers.

If anything, once this book is off my desk, I will work on a virtual shooting system, or series where you can insert your scores, and have competition centric discussions on gear, technique etc, I will re-Gigger the entire section to fit the needs of my current members.

At Shot we'll work the rest out with Shannon and Co.

Looking forward to this.

I hope there a few "standard" type stages that we can set up so we all have a direct link to compare each other against. It'll also give us points of discussions for setting up new "standard" stages and how to shoot them.

Scorched earth Frank is way more entertaining. We need more scorched earth Frank!
The initial drama might be entertaining. However, the lasting damage on the backend is never worth it. I for one am glad that cooler heads prevailed.

Miss me with that gay s* (crossfit). "Not trying to be the best at exercise" - Kenny Powers

We should've had someone record it. Hectic to say the least :ROFLMAO::LOL::ROFLMAO: I'll take an 8 though

Was looking for the PRS forum but noticed it name was changed to Precision Rifle Injected Knowledge Source.
Just subtle enough took me a bit to get it.
Absolutely brilliant!!!! Made my day!
Thanks Frank @lowlight

It's almost like the NFL or NASCAR telling publications not to write or talk about the sport. PRS is a big brand within the shooting community. Just scratching my head.
Lol..... Snipershide may be considered a community big fella, but it is also someone's business.
Guess what PRS is?
And then consider what that thread was, regarding one business to another..........

The point is, you don’t see other sports asking forums to take down sections just because they don’t feel it’s fair to their brand.

There’s literally thousands of forums about nascar, movies, mlb, nba, etc etc. This is no different.

If a forum is negatively affecting your business enough for you to notice, you probably need to either change something or put a spokesperson on that forum.

You don’t see movie companies asking for reviews to be taken down.
