For those running a ZCO 527 and a Spuhr 6 series mount, is there any space for a MKM level up front?

I won't get my ZCO for 2 weeks, so just planning ahead. All I have is a picture -

Most people I talk to say it's nearly impossible to see that level while you're on the rifle engaging targets. I guess I'll find out when I get it.
It is but as you practice hopefully you’ll get used to being fairly close to level using the reticle and feel of the gun. I can’t imagine in a timed situation checking a level each shot anyway. In non-timed coming off the cheek to check your level is inconvenient but forces you to pay attention to other indicators and not a “crutch” so to speak. Just my opinion not fact I suppose. 🍻

Spuhr also sells a level that interfaces with their mounts. Pretty slick.

Agree on all the practice fundamentals and listen to Frank talk all day about this... sadly during a timed competition on a wobbly compromised position, I have found the level to be pretty useful.

I think that's right, but also isn't a problem for me. I learned precision shooting from Lowlight who's not a big level guy. I use it to to make sure I'm setup level when sitting on the bipod and bag, then I don't try to reference it again while shooting.

Yep agree. I rarely ever used the level in lowlight's class. But 90% of that was prone fundamentals. Timed competition on non level surfaces has been my issue.

I hear ya. If anything, more confidence as this is what you’re used to. Also, anything Spuhr will sell for nearly retail so you’ll always get most of your money back if you decide to sell.

I like the MK Machining pic rail level in aluminum but that Spuhr is even better if you have that mount.

Mount it in the back, adjusting parallax won’t be an issue. I have found the one on a SPUHR to be too small and forward enough where it’s not easily seen and it might not be level with the reticle depending on how your rifle is set up.

I don’t use a level while shooting. I keep the level set with the reticle and when I set the rifle down (prone) I can check that it is sitting level with a quick check. If the ground is off a bit, I unlock the bipod and make the adjustment before I get behind the rifle so that I know it’s level. Might not be how others use it but I find it helpful before getting behind the rifle and then having to get back up to unlock the bipod and make adjustments.

I’m not a PRS competitor so maybe they use them a bit differently. Better to mount in at the rear of the optic than on the rail.

FWIW I am buying a Spuhr to eliminate the MKM level, I have two right now and both of them read differently.
