I was never a "golfer", we had antennas on the golf course with fences around them (overseas), so we'd pick up golfballs and give them away, or just pitch them in the trash.

We need a golf ball cannon thread...

Wait. What happened to all the rubber bands?? That was the best part about finding a cut golf ball (60 years ago??).

When I was young and stupid* I wanted to see what was inside, so I cut one in half...it had some kind of liquid in the center and sprayed my BDU pants.

*Unlike now; as I'm just old and foolish.
The more premium balls are still wound. Or at least they were 15 years ago when I last played. I think the two piece balls are just more common these days.

As an example: The Jetta Sportwagen tdi will get approximately 50mpg(ideal conditions) when deleted and tuned. With snow tires it will be almost unstoppable in inclement weather. It’s available with a manual transmission, for those that want one.
Need to do the delete yet, but I love my Sport wagon. 6 speed manual (millennial anti theft device), 40+mpg, 10K mile oil changes.

Awesome. Do you have any upgrade plans other than the deletes?
No just the DPF delete. I've wondered what it would take $$ to get it to 400hp just because it would be a pretty cool sleeper.

**I got about $6k for diesel gate thing. VW had to do a "fix" which caused me to loose about 1mpg.

**EPA makes a test. VW (with the help of Bosch) make the car pass said test, then get in trouble for it.
For those that don't know...
Front wheel drive car on a dyno. Front wheels turn back wheels don't. Computer sees the back wheels aren't turning so it knows its on a dyno, so it adjusts the fuel parameters to pass the test.
Take car off dyno, back wheels turn, computer makes it drive like it should, albeit with more emissions. Simple Genius!
Supposedly some collage got a grant for a 4 wheel dyno and didn't believe their own data; until they did, then it cost VW billion$

My plan is too drive that thing till the wheels fall off.
Right now its at the body shop because my GF backed her Chevy Subdivision (Suburban) with a ball hitch into it in the driveway.:cry:

It takes quite a bit to get 400hp. If I was doing it with someone else’s checkbook I’d shoot for 250-ish hp and some suspension upgrades
