    NO AL
As y’all know, the crazy pace of reticle development sometimes seems little more than a desire to push new scope sales rather than truly help the professional and competitive marksman. No reticle has dared to address universal reticle positioning issues like Dynamic Prone and Inverted Bat Sniper.

Well, the future is here and you’ll never need another reticle — ever!

But… the BEST part is, this new, “reticle to end all reticles” being released by the Acme Reticle Company — “A name you can trust” — is fully OPEN SOURCE AND COMPLETELY FREE!

Instead of paying Horus $4000 for a $500 scope, your investment is now all about the glass!

The below illustration is basically a finished work, but Acme is still open to subtle changes if someone has a great idea, but I’m sure you’ll all agree that Acme has literally thought of everything and there really is nothing of consequence that has been omitted — after confering with the top 5,000 shooters globally for the last 20 years.

This reticle is embodies the definition of “Game Changer!”

This is a day every shooter everywhere will remember. When they talk at various matches throughout the world for the next five decades the first question will always be “Where were you when Acme unleashed HortaRetXXX2 upon the world?”

This reticle will make you a better human.

With no further adieu, I humbly accept the priviledge of causing Sniperhide’s first-ever collective eyegasm ( and no, Frank, I require no special recognition — I’m only a humble messenger):

That's perfect! Every hold over I could ever ask for. Even my inverted from the ceiling shots have been considered... And it's about time somebody recognized the hard work I've been putting in to make those shots happen with all the currently existing and clearly inferior reticles!

Also assuming, if that's FFP, that's your reticle thickness at 4X, as we don't want that reticle to get lost in the dark.

Easy buddy or Horus will sue you for patent infringement... Better take some of holds out or someone is going to confuse this with the tremor 6

I cannot tell a lie… alcohol may have been involved.
Then I'm sure you arrived at the only logical conclusion: this belongs in a long range clip on so scope manufacturers can focus on building an optic that is unimpeded by a reticle / turret system. A true first focal plane reticle!

I'll stop talking before I start making too much sense

HortaRetXXX2 that's kind of a bs name. If you're not charging ridiculous royalties at least call it [Horta's gift to humanity reticle]

We actually thought long and hard about the name. Focus groups unanimously revealed that calling it anything akin to “gift” or “free” implied there was a superior version available for money, so it was either “HortaRetXXX2” or “Hortimus Prime X”.

And because ELR shooters are widely known to be insatiable porn fiends, the inclusion of “XXX” somewhere in the name was a no-brainer.

I got mine in the mail today, took in the field for a trial run. I'm disappointed to say the least. There is still plenty of empty space that could be used to indicate proper holdover positions. Most of my shots are in empty areas, feels like flipping a coin on whether or not I'm aiming in the right position. Hoping V2 is an improvement with more markers. 😢

As long as you put “Mil spec” “used by elite operators” and “sniper” on the box somewhere you’ll still manage to sell a pile of them

It didn’t take long for Horus employees to find their way here.

I think it’s a brilliant design when it comes to needed follow up shots,

I like the comforting feeling that no matter where that shot lands in the FOV I will always have a hold point for immediate follow up shooting

Let me know when the ZCO preorders are available. Waiting impatiently with credit card in hand

Horta, did you draw the first draft of this genius upon your actual dong? So flowing, so subtle, so luxurious…

    My joke sucks eggs.

    Your reticle is god. 🙏

Yeah but is it MOL or MIA?

You should look into getting see through scope caps made with different reticles on them. Then the shooter could decide which one to use when. Corner the market on third / fourth focal plane scopes.

How about the twin turret Nightforce. Two reticles, independent elevation and windage.

I kind of like the HortaRetXXX2. If some how, you happen miss a shot and your buddies start giving you a hard time, you just say " well christ's sake, just look through my scope!"

Have you signed on w any major manufacturers?

I’ve been fielding calls since HortaRetXXX2 was revealed. The DoD is thinking about restricting it to Military use only, for obvious reasons — it makes even the neophyte shooter a lethal assassin if the power of this reticle is used for nefarious purposes.

But when Barska calls, I don’t think I’ll be able to resist — the world’s best reticle for the world’s best scope. This is the obvious union everyone is hoping to see.
