So I'm building a 10/22 pistol mainly for kicks and range fun but will also be using it for occasional squirrel hunting. Wanted to see what kind of experience people have had with accuracy out of 10/22 barrels in the 8"-10" range. Looking to keep price in the mid-$100 range so I've currently been looking at Kidd and Acculite22. Let me know what y'all think! Only part I have on hand so far is a receiver from CST in Kentucky.

$100 for a barrel ?
About the only contender I know will be Green Mountain and you won't touch one for $100, but they'll be the cheapest out there.
I doubt you'll get a Kidd for anything close to that, maybe 2.5-3 times that.
Dunno no acculite.

By "mid-$100 range" I was referring to around $150 gove or take. Kidd pistol barrels are $165 on their website.

Isn’t Kidd like the end all be all for 10/22 stuff?

Never had a 10/22, but that’s what it seems like the expensive ones I see are rocking.

So it seems, read some lights out reviews about the accuracy from their shorter barrels so went ahead with their 10" bull barrel. I'll try and update with some thoughts after I shoot it for the first time.

Please do.

Acculite was whistle pig, I think. Both have a pretty good rep, I have a 10/22 sbr with a 5” barrel, been knocking around the idea of a 6-10”, would love to see your thoughts when you get it all running.

I have a GM barrel that shoots great, granted it’s not the end all be all either. For a firearm I have a whopping $220 in for a stock and barrel I’m not whining.

I picked up a 6" from Enoch, which I believe are TacSol with their name on it. Have not had a chance to see how it shoots, still waiting on a chassis.
As much as I wanted the Volquartsen CF 6", I could not justify that price for a designated plinker. I have their CF barrel on a 10/22 takedown and it makes for a super handy rifle.

The Enoch 6 and 9 are on my radar as well. Love their chassis, and I have a couple other Tac Sol barrels on plinkers that I have no complaints about. But the Kidd reputation has kept me from making a decision vs the cheap barrel I have on it now.

Would love to find a 10-12" integrated suppressor barrel and do something like a folding stock suppressed SBR, just barely sticking out past the front of the stock, but apparently I am a small minority that thinks that would be cool.
