Couple of them win a 2Day match (get your 1Day match glory, tf out of here) with an AT-X, but let’s put an MDT on it 🙄 😂 ..
Jorge,

I’m genuinely curious, did you have anything to do with the design of the atx? Because the way you talk about me and the chassis I designed and paid for by myself years before the atx leads me to believe that you are in some way vested with AI or the atx beyond simply receiving a prototype rifle.

If you’re not, and just an AI fan and/or trying to get on team AI, then I recommend chilling out. Because all of the team shooters thought my chassis was awesome before the coincidentally timed inspiration for the atx came to AI. None of them talk shit about my chassis, yet you seem to like to even though (to my knowledge) you never owned one. If you think my chassis is so bad, and a ripoff of the ACC, I welcome you to a group call with myself and any of the team shooters willing to talk to me to discuss the design of it and why I made it the way I did. In fact, anyone can call me if they’d like to discuss it at 414-526-1664.

And I know the team shooter that used my chassis secretively in comps and how well he did with it compared to the AX and even against the atx proto at the PRS finale in 2020. So please don’t act like the atx gave any team shooter god mode after dumping mine.

Thanks,

Sam

I’m sure I missed it somewhere.

Is there an ETA on the aics chassis version? (Flame suit on for asking for an AI ETA) I’m liking what they did with this chassis.

Everything he has is better than anyone else's, and he rubs it in everyones face especially when it comes to AI. You know he got a couple at-x pre production models and he just laughs at those of us waiting for ours. Might just be a internet persona, but he seems like a dick.

Still a whiny bitch aren’t you? I couldn’t care less if people complain about true problems. You on the other hand just like to be an internet dick bag just to be a dick bag behind the anonymity of a keyboard.

Oh boy, where do I start LOL!
Your bitterness towards AI, especially the AT-X, continous to show.
You guys seem to get moist when an "issue" arises with the AT-X, yet turn into some delicate mf'ers when people clap back.
But yeah, I need to chill out.
I have no interest in owning an Obsession/ Vision Chassis, that's why I don't care to comment on any of those threads.
But again, I need to chill out hahahahaha

I love my Accuracy International ATX.
I have just about 1000 rounds through the action. (About 100 6.5 Creedmoor and right at 900 6mm GT). As far as the miss feeding issue, I have had it happen about 10 to 20 times total since I got it in February. I did have it happen at a shoot twice over this last weekend. To be fair the second one happen toward the end of a 200 round -2 day match and that action was getting dirty. I wouldn't trade my blue ATX for any other gun is worth every pen. By the way I also own other custom rifles and I am huge fan of a couple three lug bolt 60 degree Actions as well. I think sometimes we set our expectations so high when we go drop 5k to 6k on a rifle we expect it to be a perfect precision instrument then they can have the slightest issue and amplify a problem. As a professional land surveyor I deal with different precision instruments daily. I have news guys, no matter the cost, they all have flaws. None are perfect. If the ATX needs a shim added so be it. I am putting a shim in mine and I won't think twice about it. That doesn't make it a bad rifle. I am just glad it's been mentioned so the average shooter like myself knows how to address the problem. If the shim is the fix then that's less than the cost of brass I lost over the weekend. (Dam Kill Dozer stage) Spring is here let's enjoy these fine instrument of our trade.

Choose your team:
Blue Team: “My AT-X is having issues. Here’s a video, pictures, and description narrated by Morgan Freeman. What do I do?”

Red Team: “There are no issues. I have one and so does ____, we haven’t had any issues. Fuck off peasants and go back to bowing to me for having one that works.”

Magenta Team: “I was going to buy one (even though they weren’t) but now I’m not.”

Grey Team: Doesn’t comment but lurks through wondering why people are so adamant about defending a company to the point that they dismiss legitimate concerns of customers by saying it isn’t possible.

Aquamarine Team: Same as Grey Team members but actually comments. Not with anything constructive, but rather just a meme or gif with a retarded comment that doesn’t do anything to better the thread or solve a problem. Usually made up of those shitting on the shitter.

We had 4 at our match yesterday. All from different batches. We messed with mags and there seems to be some AX mags that fit different. My AX and AW fit perfect in all 4 rifles, no feeding issues, no slop. A newer AX mag there was some play. I’d check the mags before putting shims in the rifle.

Ya. Seems to be the issue.

I have 2 ax mags on way and 3 aw.

Once they get here I’ll check them all and get with AI on any that don’t work.

This is what I am learning as well. From my understanding there has been some changes on the way they are making some of the newer AW & AX mags to prevent feeding issues. I had 2 new mags with my rifle. 1 was an AX and the other an AW. I originally tried with the AX and had lots of feeding issues. After trying the AW it ran much better but still has the occasional bolt ride over.

Mags aren’t cheap. Seems a .70cent piece of shim stock to adjust how the rear of the magazine rides is easier to some then spending another $100 on a magazine.

I’d imagine AI will get you replacement mags.

So what you're saying is ... now is a good time to ask @samb300 if they will make a Vision inlet for Badger M2008/M2013 actions?

Like hic28 mentioned, we seated one of his mags in my AT-X, and it definitely seated with less up and down movement. I didn't have time to run ammo through the mag (line was still cold when we tested his mag), since both hic28 and I were running squads for our monthly club match.

But, this does seem to be a mag issue. I sent my AX mag back to AINA last week, so hopefully when they send one back, this issue will be resolved.

ETA: And I did shoot one stage during the match (squad was running ahead of schedule, so I indulged myself), and with AW mags, it ran fine. Not as slick as my AI-AT, but that rifle is approaching 9k rds, so it's...well broken in. :D

Soo, is the concensus that switching to a AW mag a remedy for this?

Soo, is the concensus that switching to a AW mag a remedy for this?

Tim @ AI said they’ll (0726) work but any pressure on the front of the mag will push it lower in the back potentially exacerbating feeding issues. I assume it’s the rear notch or feed lips that are the issue in these mags (6677). AI is gonna get mine replaced but Tim also said that buying extra mags (6677) should be good. With that said, can y’all make some mags that we can use extended baseplates with @Scott Seigmund ? ;)

To be clear, I use AW mags and have zero issues. My question was just for my own knowledge. Thanks.

I'm still on team Lime-Green, waiting for AT-X production.

Is anyone using HRD Dasher mag kits with their AT-X? And if so How's the feeding been compared to standard AX/AW mags? I have a Dasher barrel and HRD kits and I'm planning on shooting Dasher and 6.5cm. With the feeding issues I'm wondering if I'm headed for a bad time with the HRD kits, anyone have an experience with them yet?

6BR out of old school Sage green AX mags with HRD spacers. I have only 100 or so rounds through the ATX in 6BR but zero issues, same as the AX before it, which had about 2400 rounds of 6BR through it.

Now to be fair, on the Hide whenever anyone has any problem with any rifle - or asks what rifle to buy - half the forum goes

“JUST BUY AN AI IDIOT LOL - PROBLEM FREE”

“WHAT DO YOU EXPECT, SHOULD HAVE BOUGHT AN AI”

So the exceptions are set high and are constantly being reinforced by the peanut gallery.

I’m still trying to figure this out so i can spend money I’ve not yet made on a preorder. I ask Tom about once every other week lol

I'm using the HRD kit for 6 BRA and about 5% of the rounds nose dive and get wedged into the front of the mag.

We have only had two national PRS multi day matches since the 2019 season finale thanks to Rona.
Another team shooter and I both ran the new AT-X rifles in this weekends comp taking 2nd and 3rd.

One was a pre-production rifle and the other is from the first batch with AINA engraving.
So far, mine (pictured) only has about 600 rounds of 308 & 6.5CM through it but is running in nicely.

Had a handful of lads get in behind it, fire some rounds, there was (as usual) lots of interest.

They are a fantastic platform and absolutely a worthy investment for shooters looking at a comp ready rifle.

For anyone having any mechanical issues, I wouldn't lose faith in the company or the system as no doubt things will be sorted out ASAP.
These rifles are outstanding.

Can someone help here :
So the solution will be a new mag or an update in the rifle itself?

I spoke to Scott for a good while yesterday. In short, it is a magazine issue. I have 2 brand new mags that I sent back to them today to replace or adjust. There’s a lot that was said…….most too much to type, but it does make sense after speaking with him. The way they’re starting to make their newer magazines addresses smaller cartridges like 6.5 & 6mm. I’ll update more when the magazines come back to me.

I'm curious as well.

A mag is a really simple fix - users can buy the solution (in the form of AW mags) right now, and have their rifles running correctly, if I'm reading this thread right.

It's a bit confusing to me that while AT-X rifles in both the UK and elsewhere in the world are exhibiting similar (the exact same?) issues, but the problem is being blamed on different parts of the rifle (chassis vs mags).

I have no doubt with AI's reputation that they will get this corrected. If its a mag its a pretty simple fix, which is really nice for everyone involved. But the communication and how the problem is being addressed geographically is certainly confusing.
